Common Core Decorum

If you’re a parent planning to attend an “information session” regarding Common Core in your town or county, be aware of the rules before attending, or you might find yourself facing over 10 years in prison, as a Towson, Md., father discovered when he protested against the implementation of Common Core in the Baltimore County School District.

Understand that in these sessions, only those on the panel or at the podium will be permitted to speak.  The Liberal/Progressives learned their lesson at the Town Hall Meetings of 2009 in protest of Obamacare.  You will sit politely and listen and bobble your head.  If you stand up and protest, the police will arrest you for disrupting school operations.

You will be permitted to write down your questions – and they accept questions only, not comments – and the panel may read your question.  Or it may not.  If you’re opposed to Common Core, the chances of your question being read are as good as, or maybe not even as good, as winning the Powerball Lottery.

Be aware that you will be outnumbered by “ringers” brought into bolster the agenda for Common Core.  They are there to applaud when a pro-Common Core comment is made by some member of the panel and hoot down anyone who dares to protest even sotto voce (muttering).

Billions of dollars have been invested in this plan.  You parents are rank amateurs against these snake oil salesmen and women.  They’ve rehearsed these meetings down to a nicety.  They know exactly what you’re going to say and when you’re going to say and have the pro-Common Core answer to humiliate you into silence.  If that doesn’t work, they have the unionized police working in their favor.

The American Colonists of the 18th Century had the same problem, so don’t feel bad.

Glenn Beck’s “The Blaze” reported the story a few days ago.  The parent “was arrested last Thursday night at a ‘public forum’ [my emphasis] after vocally expressing his concerns about the Baltimore County School District’s plan to use Common Core standards in its curriculum.”

“Robert Small, a concerned father, was forcefully removed from the meeting by a police officer after he interrupted Baltimore County Schools Superintendent Dallas Dance during the question-and-answer portion of the forum.”

“The meeting apparently didn’t allow parents to stand up and ask questions or comment. Parents and other attendants were instead asked to write their questions on a piece of paper and officials would read them.

“However, Small began speaking out against the district’s use of Common Core, prompting a security guard, who was also a police officer, to approach him and order him to leave. “Let’s go!” he said sternly.

“When Small didn’t immediately comply, the officer began pulling his arm and pushing him towards the exit. Some audience members gasped at the cop’s use of force.

“’Don’t stand for this,’ the father said as he was dragged out. ‘You are sitting here like cattle! Is this America?’

Small also urged other parents to demand answers on Common Core and the curriculum being used to educate their children.

“As the Baltimore Sun reports, the officer then “pushed Small and then escorted him into the hall, handcuffed him and had him sit on the curb in front of the school.”

“Small was charged with second-degree assault of a police officer and faces a $2,500 fine and up to 10 years in prison. He was also charged with disturbing a school operation, which carries an additional $2,500 and up to six months in jail.

“Small attempted to push the officer away when he first approached him, the police report claims. There is a video.  Watch it and decide for yourself if Small assaulted the officer:

“Despite some opposition from parents, the Maryland State Department of Education reportedly plans to go forward with its implementation of Common Core standards, joining 45 other states and Washington, D.C., in adopting the standards for the first time this year.

“’Look, I am being manhandled and shut down because I asked inconvenient questions,’ Small told the Baltimore Sun after the incident. ‘Why won’t they allow an open forum where there can be a debate?  We are told to sit there and be lectured to about how great Common Core is.’”

Common Core advocates have no intention of allowing an open debate on their program.  Like Obamacare, it’s simply going to be passed through and implemented.  Period.  Individual opinions are of little importance to collectivists.  Western literature will be eliminated and replaced with government manuals and pornographic literature, meant to “educate” the young about the dangers lurking in the wide world, dangers the Progressives have themselves unleashed.

Your children will no more be considered your property any more than your house or car.  That is the “transformation” Obama boasts of and has paved the way for.  He will transform their little minds into government propagandists who will report every infraction of progressive, communal law that occurs within your household.  They will be taught to recite the Three E’s:  Environment, Equity, and Equality (as in Social).  Creativity will be trampled, individualism rooted out, and ambition trampled.

Mr. Small was an example for anyone with the impertinence to think they can interfere with Obama’s “transformation” of America.  Hey, fear worked for Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mao, and Ho Chi Minh, not to mention Caesar, Caligula, and Nero.

All right, class.  Who is the current President of the United States?

“Oh – baa – aaah – maaaah!”
