Trump: Ban Muslim Immigrants

The Media and even the GOP are ablaze with multicultural indignation.  GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump recommended closing U.S. borders to all Muslims. During an interview with host Chris Cuomo on CNN’s “New Day.” Trump said, “We’re at war — get it through your head.”

Other candidates, including N.J. Governor Chris Christie, immediately denounced Trump’s comments.  Trump was nonplussed at suggestions that his comments were ‘Hitlerite.’

“It’s only temporary,” he said.  Hitler’s plan to eliminate the Jews, a program Islamic Jihadists embrace enthusiastically, was permanent.  “The Final Solution,” he called it.

Some might say that Trump’s plan is, if not “good”, at least pragmatic.  Osama Bin Laden, the leader of Al Qaeda, declared war on the United States back in 1997.  The Blind Sheikh, Omar Abdel-Rahman, issued the fatwah calling for the assassination of Egyptian President Anwar Sadat after the peace accord with Israel.

He issued a fatwa in the US that declared it lawful to rob banks and kill Jews in the US. His sermons condemned Americans as the “descendants of apes and pigs who have been feeding from the dining tables of the Zionists, Communists, and colonialists.”  He called on Muslims to assail the West, “cut the transportation of their countries, tear it apart, destroy their economy, burn their companies, eliminate their interests, sink their ships, shoot down their planes, kill them on the sea, air, or land.”

Abdel-Rahman was issued a tourist visa to visit the United States by the consul of the United States Embassy in Khartoum, Sudan despite his name being listed on a U.S. State Department terrorist watch list.  Rahman entered the United States in July 1990 via Saudi Arabia, Peshawar, Pakistan, and Sudan.

The State Department revoked his tourist visa on Nov. 17, 1990.   Despite this, in April 1991, he obtained a green card from the Immigration and Naturalization Services office in Newark, N.J. After leaving the U.S. to go on an overseas trip, he tried to re-enter the U.S. in August 1991. At that point, U.S. officials recognized that he was on the lookout list and began the procedure to revoke his permanent resident status.

The U.S. government allowed him to enter the country, as he had the right to appeal the decision to revoke his residency status. But he failed to appeal the decision and so on March 6, 1992, the U.S. government revoked his green card. He then requested political asylum. A hearing on that was held on Jan. 20, 1993.  A month later, the World Trade Center was bombed.

If the U.S. government couldn’t keep out one, very well-known, extremely vicious jihadist imam, how is it going to keep out the thousands (or is it millions?) Obama is eager to allow into the country?  The Blind Sheikh was pre-9/11.  You would have thought we’d learned our lessons after September 11, 2001.  That awakening lasted through May 2002, when Ground Zero was at last cleared of all remnants of the fallen towers.

Trump’s plan would have been hailed as an excellent idea in, say 1987, the year Congressman Barney Frank created the invisible student visa program that allowed foreign students into the country without any accountability.  Still, the Twin Towers were still standing then.  Sadat had been assassinated in 1981.  But that was six years earlier and happened “over there,” not here.

Hijackings were not unknown in those days, nor terrorist bombings.  But those hijackers were South American, here, and “Arab” over in the Middle East.  The press of the time was careful, even then, not to identify the culprits as “Muslims,” much less “Islamists,” “jihadists” or “radical Muslims.”

The domestic terrorist of the day, William Ayers, is now retired, having been a highly-regarded professor at the College of Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago.  Ayers is also responsible for the propagation of “white privilege” theory.  We have him to thank, indirectly, for the educational scourge known as Common Core.

An estimated 6.67 million Muslims currently live in the United States.  That’s roughly 2.11 percent of our population.  It’s uncertain whether that number includes Muslims living here illegally.  Our danger is when they reach a tipping point in numbers that they can effectively dictate policy.

Happily for them, the liberal and progressive contingents have lent them a hand by allowing anchor babies to settle here.  Our own Constitutional laws do not allow for it.  The “Musselmen,” as they were called at the time of the American Revolution, were hardly considered a threat, the incident at Tripoli notwithstanding, which caused something of a Constitutional crisis.

We could, and probably should, ban any further immigration by Muslims, from any country (they’re all over the world).  Just how we’re going to justify such a ban is problematic.  Perhaps a fiat order by a future president would achieve the desired result, although that president could depend upon the courts to challenge such an order and possibly recommend impeachment.

Islamists are at war with the United States.  Only someone in league with them could deny the obvious, such as our own traitor-in-chief.   During World War II, American citizens weren’t worried about civil rights when they interned the entire Japanese-American population.  Only now do we descry the injustice of the wholesale imprisonment of native-born Americans.  The Americans back then didn’t give a darn.

As worrisome as this influx of jihadists is, we should be more concerned about our president’s aggressive agenda to deprive of us our Second Amendment rights.  They’ve slowly been eroded over time, long before Obama took office.  Here in New Jersey, obtaining a conceal-and-carry permit is practically impossible to obtain.  Those who own guns must keep them locked up in their homes.  They must be dismantled if the gun owner travels anywhere with the arms.  You cannot discharge a firearm with a certain distance of residential habitations.

If you own a gun, you may use it to protect yourself within your own home.  The gun owner should know, however, that the criminal, or his survivors, can bring legal charges against the gun owner if the prosecution can prove the criminal was either unarmed or fleeing.

The Media and Big Education have embarked on an anti-gun propaganda campaign in the last decade or so.  They focus on every shooting, like Colorado Springs, in which the gunman is white and had a legally-owned firearm.  They dismiss any stories published by the National Rifle Association in which gun owners successfully defended themselves against attackers with their firearms.

Predictably, Americans are horrified.  They fear what they see on television, which is very much like the violent movies and video games coming out of Hollywood.  Why in the world would anyone want to watch such films or play such games?  The ancient video game, “Doom,” was absolutely dreadful.

Americans are truly a peace-loving and peaceful people, except when they get in their cars; Accidents are one of the leading causes of death in America, not mass shootings.  The accident category includes a wide field of causes for accidental deaths, but automobile accidents tops the list.  In 2014, 32,719 people lost their lives in car accidents.  That’s according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

According to the Stanford Mass Shootings survey, 61 mass shootings that were not related to gang or drug activity occurred in the last year, with 159 deaths.  Mother Jones News, in a similar study, also eliminated domestic (home) violence, reducing the number of mass shootings in the U.S. to 4, with 37 deaths. includes all manner of mass shootings in its study, citing 353 mass shootings with 462 deaths.

If we do the math, 425 people perished in 349 mass shootings there were either drug-related, gang-related or the result of domestic violence (and the spouse in such domestic situations is usually, although not always, male and either drunk or high).

So, if we ban the Muslims (which might not be such a bad idea, given the fatwas the jihadist imams have issued over the years), we still have to do something about the drug- and gang-related activity, which are usually one and the same anyway.

That means, logically, we should ban drugs.  Ban the drugs and the [illegally-obtained] guns would vanish.  People would not only not die in mass shootings, but they also wouldn’t die of drug overdoses.  We’d also save the lives of countless law enforcement officers.  Guns do kill people, especially when they’re in the hands of drug addicts and dealers, and so do the drugs they ingest.

Amazing, isn’t it?  What do you think, GOP candidates?  Is banning recreational drugs worth discussing?  Or are you afraid of the Millennial vote as well as the Muslim vote?
