California Bans Singing in Church

Jay Seklow, of the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), reports that California, using the Wuhan Flu as an excuse, has placed a ban on singing in church. Last month, California Governor Gavin Newsom’s issued an order banning singing in church. The restriction blatantly states that, “Places of worship must, therefore, discontinue singing and chanting activities…” The Los Angeles Times reports that “[T]hree churches in Northern California have filed a federal lawsuit against Gov. Gavin Newsom, claiming a ban on singing in places of worship — implemented to help stem the spread of the coronavirus — violates their 1st Amendment rights.” “Churches, like all facilities in the state deemed nonessential, were closed in March amid the governor’s stay-at-home orders at the beginning of the pandemic. But as restrictions were eased and more sectors of the economy reopened, houses of worship were allowed to welcome worshipers, beginning in May, provided they adhered to health and safety protocols, which limited attendance and, at the time, discouraged singing. Since then, however, as the virus has surged across the state and Newsom enacted a second shutdown in much of California, the governor further tamped down on acceptable activities at church, specifying that “places of worship must … discontinue indoor singing and chanting activities.” However, the Virus had nothing to do with the action the town council of Salinas, Calif. Took against the New Harvest Christian Fellowship. According to Sekulow and the ACLJ, the Fellowship “is not going be allowed to use a property it purchased in the city’s downtown (Main Street) because, according to city officials, it doesn’t fit in to the city’s goals of a “vibrant” and “street of fun” atmosphere. While the church is being excluded, a live children’s theatre, two cinemas and a public recreation center will all be allowed to operate.” Just for full disclosure, Physicians Weekly reported on the choir outbreak at Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church in Washington State (Mount Vernon? Isn’t that where Glenn Beck grew up?): Choir practice may have facilitated the quick transmission of Covid-19 to members of a church choir, most likely through close proximity of choir members during practices and the act of singing itself within such close quarters, according to a recently report published in Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report. “This outbreak of Covid-19 with a high secondary attack rate indicates that SARS-CoV-2 might be highly transmissible in certain settings, including group singing events. This underscores the importance of physical distancing, including maintaining at least 6 feet between persons, avoiding group gatherings and crowded places, and wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain during this pandemic,” wrote Lea Hamner, MPH, Skagit County Public Health, Mount Vernon, WA, and colleagues. Through March 10, the 122-member choir met each week for a 2.5-hour practice. For the March 10 practice, chairs for the 61 members attending had been arranged in 6 rows of 20 chairs each that were spaced 6 to 10 inches apart with a center aisle. By March 11 or 12, the choir director emailed the group warning that at least six members had developed a fever, and two had been tested for SARS-CoV-2 and were waiting for test results. By March 16, three members had tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, without indicating a common source of exposure. By March 17, the choir director informed the group that 24 members reported having developed flu-like symptoms since March 10, and that at least one tested positive for SARS-CoV-2. The two emails from the choir director caused many of the choir members to self-isolate/quarantine before Skagit Country Public Health (SCPH) was informed on March 17. There was an initial investigation of the cluster on March 18-20, and all 122 members were interviewed either during this or a follow-up interview on April 7-10. Most participated in both interviews, in which choir practice attendance on March 3 and March 10 was established. Choir members were also asked about their attendance at other church events during March, other potential exposures, and symptoms of Covid-19. Even those without symptoms were instructed to quarantine for 14 days from their last choir practice. In all, 78 choir members attended the March 3 practice, and 61 attended the March 10 practice. Subsequently, 86.7% (n=52) became ill. Among the 21 members who attended only the March 3 practice, only one became ill. Among three members who attended only the March 10 practice, two became ill, and one was laboratory-confirmed positive for Covid-19. For a full 92.5% of patients, onset of illness began March 11 through 15. Median time to symptom onset was 10 days from the March 3 practice (range: 4-19 days), and three days from the March 10 practice (range: 1-12 days). Odds of illness after the March 3 practice were 17.0 times higher for those who attended the practice compared with those who did not (95% CI: 5.5-52.8). After the March 10 practice, these odds were 125.7 times higher (95% CI: 31.7-498.9). “’The clustering of symptom onsets, odds of becoming ill according to practice attendance, and known presence of a symptomatic contagious case at the March 10 practice strongly suggest that date as the more likely point-source exposure event. Therefore, that practice was the focus of the rest of the investigation,” noted the authors. “Members had an intense and prolonged exposure, singing while sitting 6–10 inches from one another, possibly emitting aerosols,” they added. The choir member who became ill on March 7 was identified as the index patient. Among the 61 members in attendance at the March 10 practice, the median age was 69 years and 84% were women. The median age of those who became ill was 69 years, and 85% were women. In all, 86.7% of these choir members became ill (n=52), 61.5% were RT-PCR confirmed, and 38.5% were considered as having probable infection. Those in attendance at this practice developed symptoms a median of three days after the practice (range: 1-12 days). The first SARS-CoV-2 test was performed on March 13, and the last on March 26. Three of the 53 patients were hospitalized (5.7%), and 3.8% (n=2) died. Mean time from onset of illness to hospitalization was 12 days. In the two patients who died, time from illness onset to death was 14 and 15 days, respectively. The most commonly reported signs and symptoms at the time of illness onset and at any time during the course of illness among choir members with confirmed infection included cough (54.5% and 90.9%, respectively), fever (45.5% and 75.8%, respectively), myalgia (27.3% and 75.0%, respectively), and headache (21.2% and 60.6%, respectively). Gastrointestinal symptoms developed in several patients, including diarrhea (18.8%), nausea (9.4%), and abdominal cramps/pain (6.3%). Only one person exhibited only loss of smell and taste. The most severe complications included viral pneumonia in 18.2% and severe hypoxemic respiratory failure in 9.1%. The most common risk factor for severe illness was age, with 75.5% of those who were aged ≥ 65 years infected. Most patients (67.7%) had no underlying medical conditions. Only a few (9.4%) had one underlying medical condition and 22.6% had two or more. All three patients who were hospitalized had two or more underlying medical conditions. Fortunately, because of the speed of communications about the infections to members and timely notification to SCPH of a cluster of cases (on March 18), further spreading of Covid-19 was contained. All persons attending the March 10 practice had already begun self-isolation or quarantining by the time SCPH first contacted them March 18-20 as a result of two timely emails from the choir director informing them about the number of illnesses in members and proper social distancing and symptom awareness measures. Limitations of this report include the non-reporting of the seating chart and the failure of 19 choir members with probable infection to seek confirmatory testing. “Transmission was likely facilitated by close proximity (within 6 feet) during practice and augmented by the act of singing. The potential for superspreader events underscores the importance of physical distancing, including avoiding gathering in large groups, to control spread of COVID-19. Enhancing community awareness can encourage symptomatic persons and contacts of ill persons to isolate or self-quarantine to prevent ongoing transmission,” concluded Hamner and fellow authors. 1. Almost 90% of choir members became infected with SARS-CoV-2 following a single choir practice. 2. This superspreader event highlights the importance of physical distancing in preventing transmission of SARS-CoV-2. E.C. Meszaros, Contributing Writer, BreakingMED™ What Physicians Weekly did not note was the average of the choir members. According to the CDC itself, the mortality rate from CoVID-19 is 0.04 percent. The last update was August 10, 2020. Total Tests: 65,756,307 Negative Tests: 59,867,907 Negative Rate: 91 % Positive Tests: 5,888,400 Positive Rate: 9% Total Deaths: 161,842 Death Rate (% of Positive Tests): 2.75% Death Rate (% of Total Tests): 0.25% Population of U.S.: 331,000,000 (approx.) Mortality Rate: 0.04% Chance of Not Dying from CoVID-19: 99.96% The latest statistics for death in the United States in 2017 was 2,813,503, or 863.8 deaths per 100,000. Number of deaths for leading causes of death • Heart diseases: 647,457 • Cancer: 599,108 • Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 160,201 • Stroke: 146,383 • Alzheimer’s: 121,404 • Diabetes: 83,564 • Influenza and Pneumonia: 55,672 • Nephritis (kidney disease: 50,633 • Suicide: 46,173 The Coronavirus statistics are varied. The CDC lists: • Deaths involving Pneumonia with or without COVID-19, excluding Influenza: 169,108 • Deaths involving COVID-19 and Pneumonia, excluding Influenza: 72,527 • Deaths Involving Influenza with or without COVID-19 or Pneumonia: 6,640 • Deaths Involving Pneumonia, Influenza, or COVID-19: 266,520 Women have a higher count in all four categories than men, but men die of pneumonia at earlier ages than women. However, there seems to be a miscount in the numbers because the data concludes that 2,990 males of all ages died of the last cause when the actual data shows deaths over the age of 55 in the tens of thousands in this category. The number should be 143,096, which is higher than the number of women. Americans are caught in a bind. They want their lives to return to normal but some of us (those of who live in Northern New Jersey) know that this is more than just an effort by the local and government to control our lives. The virus is for real. Evidently, it’s not as deadly as we first thought: many of the high death counts in New York City, Long Island, Westchester County in New York and Bergen County in New Jersey were due to the respective governors ordering nursing home facilities to accept all COVID patients, regardless of the impact it had on patients already in residence. We would prefer to use common sense to Big Government running our lives. With a public health crisis, they have license to do just that. The pandemic and its implications came from higher up than Governors Cuomo and Murphy; this is a mandate from Communist China. We have them to thank for the invention and cure of the virus. We say again: this was no accident. Why would you need to find a cure for a disease only a small group of spelunkers were likely to get? Is it inherently dangerous for us to sing, given the current pandemic, or has the Communist Party made it dangerous for church choirs to sing, while their Marxist minions riot, loot and burn our cities, all in the name of “peaceful” protests? We want to sing and make music again. However, as we find from research on the Frankfurt School of “Critical Theory” (Marxism): Philosopher Theodor Adorno, a trained classical pianist, wrote The Philosophy of Modern Music (1949), in which he, in essence, polemicizes against popular music ―because it has become part of the culture industry of advanced capitalist and the false consciousness that contributes to social domination. He argued that radical art and music may preserve the truth by capturing the reality of human suffering. Hence: What radical music perceives is the untransfigured suffering of man […] The seismographic registration of traumatic shock becomes, at the same time, the technical structural law of music. It forbids continuity and development. Musical language is polarized according to its extreme; towards gestures of shock resembling bodily convulsions on the one hand, and on the other towards a crystalline standstill of a human being whom anxiety causes to freeze in her tracks […] Modern music sees absolute oblivion as its goal. It is the surviving message of despair from the shipwrecked. This view of modern art as producing truth only through the negation of traditional aesthetic form and traditional norms of beauty because they have become ideological is characteristic of Adorno and of the Frankfurt School generally. It has been criticized by those who do not share its conception of modern society as a false totality that renders obsolete traditional conceptions and images of beauty and harmony. In particular, Adorno despised jazz and popular music, viewing it as part of the culture industry, that contributes to the present sustainability of capitalism by rendering it “aesthetically pleasing” and “agreeable.” The British philosopher Roger Scruton saw Adorno as producing “reams of turgid nonsense devoted to showing that the American people are just as alienated as Marxism requires them to be, and that their cheerful, life-affirming music is a ‘fetishized’ commodity, expressive of their deep spiritual enslavement to the capitalist machine.” The purpose of critical theory is to analyze the true significance of the ruling understandings (the dominant ideology) generated in bourgeois society, by showing that the dominant ideology misrepresents how human relations occur in the real world, and how such misrepresentations function to justify and legitimate the domination of people by capitalism. Rock ‘n roll is here to stay, It will never die It was meant to be that way, Though I don’t know why I don’t care what people say, Rock ‘n roll is here to stay (We don’t care what people say, Rock ‘n roll is here to stay) Rock ‘n roll will always be Our ticket to the end It’ll go down in history, Just you watch, my friend Rock ‘n roll will always be, It’ll go down in history (Rock ‘n roll will always be, It’ll go down in history) Danny and the Juniors, 1958 I knew there was a reason I always hated rock music, and that I suspected it was a Marxist device. Nice to know I wasn’t crazy after all.  But it’s not just rock music; contemporary classical music is absolutely dreadful, too.  In the same vein, someday we will learn that the Wuhan Flu was deliberately weaponized and unleashed on the world to bring down Western society, Capitalism, and good music.

Trump Hits Home Run with RNC Acceptance Speech

Last night, President Trump made a detailed, accurate case for his re-election. In his acceptance speech for the Republican nomination, the President listed all his many accomplishments in his first term in office: • the low unemployment rate, particularly for minorities • passed record-setting tax and regulation cuts • replaced NAFTA with the Mexico-U.S.-Canada trade agreement • ended catch and release, stopped asylum fraud, took down human traffickers who prey on women and children, and deported 20,000 gang members and 500,000 criminal aliens • built 300 miles of border wall, with an additional adding 10 new miles every week • When the Tennessee Valley Authority laid off hundreds of American workers and forced them to train their lower-paid foreign replacements, he promptly removed the chairman of the board, and restored American workers to their jobs providing power to Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina and Virginia. • signed orders that would massively lower the cost of prescription drugs and give critically ill patients access to lifesaving cures through the Right to Try Act • passed V.A. Accountability and V.A. Choice • approved more than 300 Conservative federal judges and two new Supreme Court justices • passed historic criminal justice and reform • created economic opportunity zones in urban areas • approved long-term funding of historically Black colleges • eradicated ISIS • eliminated two of its leaders, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and Qassim Suleimani • spent nearly $2.5 trillion restoring the U.S. military • approved three separate pay raises for military personnel • created the Space Force, the first new branch of the military in 75 years • has led the nation in fighting the China virus The Media complained that the speech was too long. But then, the President made a lot of promises in 2016 and kept all of them. He had quite a list of accomplishments to review. Then, he had to explain to the nation what a choice for President of the United States Joe Biden would be. A video showed Biden clinking glasses with Communist Chinese President-for-Life Xi Jinping. He stated: “China would own our country if Joe Biden got elected. Unlike Biden, I will hold them fully accountable for the tragedy that they caused all over the world — they caused. In recent months, our nation and the world has been hit by the once-in-a-century pandemic that China allowed to spread around the globe. They could have stopped it, but they allowed it to come out. We are grateful to be joined tonight by several of our incredible nurses and first responders. Please stand and accept our profound thanks and gratitude.” The President also took the Media to task for their misleading reports on the Wuhan Flu: The United States has among the lowest case fatality rates of any major country anywhere in the world. The European Union’s case fatality rate is nearly three times higher than ours, but you don’t hear that. They do not write about that. They don’t want to write about that. They do not want you to know those things. Altogether, the nations of Europe have experienced a 30 percent greater increase in excess mortality than the United States. Think of that. We enacted the largest package of financial relief in American history. Thanks to our Paycheck Protection Program, we have saved or supported more than 50 million American jobs. That’s one of the reasons we’re advancing so rapidly with our economy. Great job. As a result, we have seen the smallest economic contraction of any nation, and we are recovering at a much faster rate than anybody. He went on to say: Over the past three months, we have gained over nine million jobs, and that is a record in the history of our country. Unfortunately, from the beginning, our opponents have shown themselves capable of nothing but a partisan ability to criticize. When I took bold action to issue a travel ban on China — very early indeed — Joe called it hysterical and xenophobic. Joe Biden may claim he is an ally of the light, but when it comes to his agenda, Biden wants to keep us completely in the dark. He doesn’t have a clue. He has pledged a $4 trillion tax hike on almost all American families, which would totally collapse our rapidly improving economy, and once again record stock markets that we have right now will also collapse. That means your 401(k)s. That means all of the stocks that you have. Biden and the Democrats are also violently opposed to school choice: Biden also vowed to oppose school choice and close all charter schools, ripping away the ladder of opportunity for Black and Hispanic children. In a second term, I will expand charter schools and provide school choice to every family in America. During the Democrat convention, the words “under God” were removed from the Pledge of Allegiance. Not once, but twice. We will never do that. But the fact is, this is where they are coming from. Like it or not, this is where they are coming from. If the left gains power, they will demolish the suburbs, confiscate your guns, and appoint justices who will wipe away your second amendment and other constitutional freedoms. The most dangerous aspect of the Biden platform is the attack on public safety. The Biden-Bernie manifesto calls for abolishing cash bail, immediately releasing 400,000 criminals onto the streets and into your neighborhoods. When asked if he supports cutting police funding, Joe Biden replied, yes, absolutely. When Congresswoman Ilhan Omar called the Minneapolis Police Department “a cancer that is rotten to the root,” Biden would not disavow her support and reject her endorsement. He proudly displayed it shortly later on his website. Displayed it in big letters. Make no mistake, if you give power to Joe Biden, the radical left will defund police departments all across America. They will pass federal legislation to reduce law enforcement nationwide. They will make every city look like Democrat-run Portland, Oregon. No one will be safe in Biden’s America. My administration will always stand with the men and women of law enforcement. There is violence and danger in the streets of many Democrat-run cities throughout America. This problem could easily be fixed if they wanted to. Just call, we’re ready to go in. We will take care of your problem in a matter of hours. Just call. We have to wait for the call. It is too bad we have to, but we have to wait for the call. We must always have law and order. All federal crimes are being investigated, prosecuted and punished to the fullest extent of the law. When the anarchists started ripping down our statues and monuments right outside, I signed an order immediately, 10 years in prison, and it was a miracle. It all stopped. No more statues. They said, that’s just too long as they looked as a statue. I think we’ll rip it down. Then they said, ‘10 years in prison? I think that is too long. Let’s go home.’ During their convention, Joe Biden and his supporters remained completely silent about the rioters and criminals spreading mayhem in Democrat-run cities. They never even mentioned it during their entire convention. Never once mentioned. Now, they are starting to mention it because their poll numbers are going down like a rock in water. It is too late, Joe. In the face of left-wing anarchy and mayhem in Minneapolis, Chicago, and others, Joe Biden’s campaign did not condemn it. They donated to it. At least 13 members of Joe Biden’s campaign have donated to a fund to bailout vandals, arsons and anarchists, looters and rioters from jail. As long as I am president, we will defend the absolute right of every American citizen to live in security, dignity and peace. If the Democrat Party wants to stand with anarchists, agitators, rioters, looters, and flag burners, that is up to them. But I as your president will not be part of it. The Republican Party will remain the voice of the patriotic heroes who keep America safe and salute the American flag. Last year, over 1,000 African-Americans were murdered as a result of violent crime in just four Democrat-run cities. The top 10 most dangerous cities in the country are run by Democrats and have been for many decades. Thousands more African-Americans are victim and victims of violent crime in these communities. Joe Biden and the left ignore these American victims. I never will. If the radical left takes power, they will apply their disastrous policies to every town, city, and suburban America. Imagine if the so-called peaceful demonstrators in the streets were in charge of every lever of power in the U.S. government. Just think of that. Liberal politicians claim to be concerned about the strength of American institutions, but who exactly is attacking them? Who is hiring the radical professors, judges, and prosecutors? Who is trying to abolish immigration enforcement and establish speech codes designed to muzzle dissent? In every case, the attacks on American institutions are being waged by radical left. Always remember, they are coming after me because I am fighting for you. That is what is happening. It has been going on from before I even got elected. And remember this, they spied on my campaign and they got caught. Let’s see now what happens. We must reclaim our Independence from the left’s repressive mandates. Americans are exhausted, trying to keep up with the latest lists of approved words and phrases, and the ever more restrictive political decrees. Many things have a different name now, and the rules are constantly changing. The goal of cancel culture is to make Americans live in fear of being fired, expelled, shamed, humiliated, and driven from society as we know it. The far-left wants to coerce you into saying what you know to be false and scare you out of saying what you know to be true. Very sad. But on November 3, you can send them a very thundering message they will never forget. We will have strong borders. And I’ve said for years, without borders, we don’t have a country. We don’t have a country. Strike down terrorists who threaten our people and keep America out of endless and costly foreign wars. We will appoint prosecutors, judges, justices who believe in enforcing the law, not enforcing their own political agenda. Which is illegal. We will ensure equal justice for citizens of every race, religion, color, and creed. We will uphold your religious liberty and defend your second amendment right to keep and bear arms. And if we don’t win, your second amendment doesn’t have a chance, I can tell you that. I have totally protected it. We will protect Medicare and Social Security. We will always and very strongly protect patients with pre-existing conditions, and that is a pledge from the entire Republican Party. Our opponents believe that America is a depraved nation. We want our sons and daughters to know the truth. America is the greatest and most exceptional nation in the history of the world. Our country wasn’t built by cancel culture, speech codes, and crushing conformity. We are not a nation of timid spirits. We are a nation of fierce, proud, and independent American patriots. We are a nation of pilgrims, pioneers, adventurers, explorers, and trailblazers who refuse to be tied down, held back, or in any way reigned in. Americans have steel in their spines, grit in their souls, and fire in their hearts. There is no one like us on Earth. I want every child in America to know that you are part of the most exciting and incredible adventure in human history. No matter where your family comes from, no matter your background in America, anyone can rise with hard work, devotion, and drive. You can reach any goal and achieve every ambition. Our American ancestors sailed across the perilous ocean to build a new life on a new continent. They braved the freezing winters, crossed the raging rivers, scaled the rocky peaks, trekked the dangerous forests, and worked from dawn till dusk. These pioneers didn’t have money. They didn’t have fame. But they had each other. They loved their families, they loved their country, and they loved their God. When opportunity beckoned, they picked up their bibles, packed up their belongings, climbed into their covered wagons, and set out West for the next adventure. Ranchers and miners, cowboys and sheriffs, farmers and settlers. They pressed on past the Mississippi to stake a claim in the wild frontier. Legends were born. Wyatt Earp, Annie Oakley, Davy Crockett, and Buffalo Bill. Americans built their beautiful homesteads on the open range. Soon, they had churches and communities, then towns, and with time, great centers of industry and commerce. That is who they were. Americans build their future, we don’t tear down our past. We are the nation that won a revolution, toppled tyranny and fascism, and delivered millions into freedom. We laid down the railroads, built the great ships, raised up the skyscrapers, revolutionized industry, and sparked a new age of scientific discovery. We set the trends in art and music, radio and film, sport and literature. And we did it with style and confidence and flair because that is who we are. Whenever our way of life was threatened, our heroes answered the call, from Yorktown to Gettysburg, from Normandy to Iwo Jima. American patriots raced into cannon blasts, bullets, and bayonets to rescue American liberty. They had no fear, but America did not stop there. We looked into the sky and kept pressing onward. We built a 6 million pound rocket and launched it thousands of miles into space. We did it so two brave patriots could stand tall and salute our wondrous American flag planted on the face of the moon. For America, nothing is impossible. Over the next four years, we will prove worthy of this magnificent legacy. We will reach stunning new heights, and we will show the world that for America there is a dream, and it is not beyond your reach. Together, we are unstoppable. Together, we are unbeatable. Because together, we are the proud citizens of the United States of America. Trump also said that Joe Biden’s label reads “Made in China” while his label reads: “Made in the U.S.A.” Trump’s critics blasted the speech for being too long. They claimed that he was taking credit for Democrat initiatives (Social Security, the civil rights movement). Social Security was a socialist initiative instituted by FDR that has left America’s elderly dependent on the government. But at least, according to the original plan, they were receiving payments from payroll investments they made while working. The Democrats, not the Republicans, bankrupted Social Security by giving payments to illegal aliens. But it was the Republicans who initiated civil rights legislation. The Democrats famously opposed it. Culturally, we’re very far to the Left of where we were even 20 years ago; it’s disconcerting to realize how far we’ve drifted. The President has vowed to support the Pro-Life movement. Eventually, we may even find judges willing to overturn Roe v. Wade. He’s too smart a politician to touch on issues like gay marriage or the legalization of marijuana. His main emphasis is on getting the American economy up and running and getting people back to work and making American great again and fighting for and protecting the forgotten people. He understands why foreign wars are such a danger to our economy. Trump may play diplomat to the likes of Xi Zinping and Kim Jong-un. But he’s nobody’s fool. Politically, President Trump is returning America to the right, bringing formerly disenfranchised Americans, particularly Blacks, with him and putting them to work so they, too, can participate in the American Dream. Being American is not about the color of your skin, your gender or sex, even your sexual preference (which is no one’s business. The problem is that it’s one thing to be tolerant – it’s quite another to celebrate it with holidays or teach children that it’s “normal” – Mom said it was just the way some people are and that we should ignore it). It’s not about your religion, or your ancestry. It’s about individual liberty, prosperity, and a limited government that doesn’t intrude itself into your life, which is what the government of the Democrats would do and have done for decades. President Trump proved himself the champion of all those American values, a champion of the people not the government, and a champion of America’s heritage and future. He proved himself to be the best candidate for the job of making America great again.

Democrats: The Once-A-Year Americans

Once a year – or once every four years in the case of presidential elections – the Democrats take their American flags and bunting out of mothballs to display their patriotic fervor for the United States of America. Ensconced in his Virus Bunker, Joe Biden gave his acceptance speech for the nomination as the Democrat Party’s presidential candidate, an American flag behind him. Fox News raved that the speech was an “enormous success” and a “home run.” The Week announced that “Biden crushed expectations.” The Associated Press called the speech “a barn burner.” The speech was worthy of a sixth-grader’s essay for the American Legion contest. Biden spoke in platitudes and homilies about uniting Americans in light after Trump’s darkness. He promised to be an ally of the light, not the darkness, that there’s too much anger, fear, and division. Yes, to the Dark Side will anger and fear lead you. He promised all the usual Marxist themes: universal health care, the minimum wage, climate change justice, child and elder care, higher corporate taxes, gun control (via Kamala Harris), and redistribution of wealth. But he also kept in mind that he needed to sound “American” while espousing Marxist causes and denouncing Capitalism: “But while I’ll be a Democratic candidate, I will be an American president. I’ll work hard for those who didn’t support me, as hard for them as I did for those who did vote for me. That’s the job of a president, to represent all of us, not just our base or our party. ‘This is not a partisan moment. This must be an American moment. It’s a moment that calls for hope and light and love. Hope for our future. Light to see our way forward. And love for one another. “America isn’t just a collection of clashing interests, of red states or blue states. We’re so much bigger than that. We’re so much better than that. You know, nearly a century ago Franklin Roosevelt pledged a New Deal in times of uncertainty and fear. Stricken by disease, stricken by a virus, FDR insisted that he would recover and prevail, and he believed America could as well. “And he did and we can as well. This campaign isn’t just about winning votes. It’s about winning the heart and, yes, the soul of America. Winning it for the generous among us, not the selfish.” Yes, Roosevelt’s fight to overcome polio was admirable. His efforts to pack the Supreme Court, dictate Socialist legislation, and increase the size of the bureaucratic government were not. In fact, they were unconstitutional. He promised the America of the Great Depression the Moon and Stars, and gave it them. Today, Social Security is bankrupt; a file cabinet filled with IOUs that will never be paid. Then Basement Boy got out the violin. He cried for George Floyd, a criminal high on crack cocaine who was very nearly impossible to subdue in order to get him into the car and take him to jail, where he would await real justice. How is it no one has yet investigated the link between Floyd and the police officer, Derek Chauvin? Boo-hoo. Biden dauntlessly attacked President Trump for his “racist” views (going back to the Charlottesville “Unite the Right” rally). He blamed Trump for the coronavirus and the economic backlash. He blamed Trump for not embracing environmentalism. Biden blamed Trump for the “darkness” in which American finds itself. Then, unbelievably, he took out the violin to play for himself, recounting the car crash in which his first wife, Neilia and two daughters, Naomi and Ashley, tragically died, and the death of his son, Hunter, from brain cancer? He mentioned them, he said so Americans would know that he feels their pain. What nominee for president ever used such a maudlin approach to campaign for President of the United States? Did John F. Kennedy mention the death of his infant sib, Patrick? We know the press of the day made great hay of it. But did Kennedy use his son’s death in a speech. George H.W. mentioned the death of his three-year old daughter Pauline “Robin” from cancer in 1953 as helping him reaffirm his faith in God. He may have mentioned her death in some interview. But he never mentioned it in either of his Republication nomination acceptance speeches. Having looked back at George H.W.s’ speeches, we notice they’re remarkable for their explanations of policy and their support of the American family. He took on his opponent with humor and never really lapsed into pessimism. Quite the opposite, he expounded on America’s greatness. He lost the second round due to Congress’ duplicity in encouraging him to promise “No more new taxes.” Biden challenges Trump to come up with a cure for something Biden himself has no cure for. In fact, he insists the United States must continue its relationship with China. The other death Biden uses is George Floyd’s. Well, the Democrats can right on destroying cities like Portland, Ore., Seattle, and Minneapolis (where George H.W.’s opponent deposited an entire community of Somalians). Let Black Lives Matter and Antifa threaten us in our homes in the suburbs. Let us hope the Republicans use all that video of riots and looting, burnings and beatings, to great advantage. Even with the Virus, which everyone knows is China’s fault, a deliberate effort to sabotage Trump’s candidacy, and the lockdown (did everyone hear Biden vow that masks would be mandatory across the country?), jobs are still coming back. Companies found a way for their employees to work from home. The stock market is back to normal and has regained all its losses, from when it was down to 17,000. Parents still want their children to return to school, mainly so they can return to work. They ought to ask themselves whether it’s really worth sending them back, considering the kind of education students are receiving today. Keeping them home from school may be inconvenient, at best. But in the long run, the children will benefit. Already, alternative methods of formal, disciplined education are being investigated. Biden’s acceptance speech had to be one of the dreariest in the history of acceptance speeches. Considering he’ll be 78, with one foot in the grave, maybe that’s not as surprising as it seems.

Goodyear Tire Rubber Stamps Marxist Expressionism

Yesterday, a podcast was released of a diversity slide program in which the Goodyear Tire & Company announced that the company would have “zero tolerance” for any apparel that mentioned MAGA, All Lives Matter, or Blue Lives Matter, or any other political material. However, the company gave the thumbs-up for Black Lives Matter materials as well as for any material that promoted LBTGXYZ. Diversity & Inclusion training has been on corporation campuses for decades. Before you sign on the dotted line, you must pass the D&I courses. Like the good students we were taught to be, we suffered through it in order to get the jobs. We must understand that it is not chiefly customers about whom Goodyear is worried; they are mainly worried about union-supported lawsuits, like the one that bankrupt Texaco back in the 1980s. According to the Media, on November 19, 1985, Pennzoil won a $10.53 billion verdict against Texaco in the largest civil verdict in U.S. history. This was allegedly due to the fact that Texaco established a signed contract to buy Getty Oil after Pennzoil entered into an unsigned, yet still binding, buyout contract with Gordon Getty. In 1987, Texaco filed for bankruptcy. It was the largest in U.S. history until 2001. But in actuality, what hurt Texaco was losing a civil rights suit by Black employees who charged the company with discrimination. Corporations across the United States took notice. What Goodyear fears is a lawsuit from the well-funded Black Lives Matters Movement and a possible strike called by their union if the company doesn’t enforce compliance with the one-sided diversity rules. #BlacklivesMatter was founded in 2013 in response to the acquittal of Trayvon Martin’s murderer. According to Politico, the donor coalition named Solidaire, focusing on “movement building” and led by Texas oil fortune heir Leah Hunt-Hendrix, a member of the Democracy Alliance, had donated more than 200,000 dollars to the BLM movement by 2015. Among the donors are Wal-Mart, Target, Home Depot, Warby Parker, Old Navy, Gap, Levis, Spanx, Tom’s Shoes, H&M, Everlane, Etsy, EA Games, Enix, LuluLemon, Nike, Wendy’s, McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, Anastasia Beauty, UnitedHealth Group, WHOOP, Peloton, and a number of cable stations. The big money backers are the NAACP, the ACLU, the Ford Foundation, and George Soros’ Open Society Foundations. My former company adopted an easier approach to avoid workplace quarrels and lawsuits: no worded apparel. Period. Didn’t matter what a sweatshirt might say – “I Love Kittens” – you weren’t allowed to wear it. Your car couldn’t have bumper stickers, either. So, maybe we ought to go back to business formal and semi-formal in offices. Factories and plants maybe should return to company uniforms. But for companies – and schools – to demand compliance with obviously partisan, to say nothing of being Marxist – ideologies is seriously out of line and definitely un-American. Compliance training is what happens in Communist countries; it shouldn’t be happening here. Americans shouldn’t be strong-armed into political views they may or may not share in order to qualify for work. Once we allowed Big Government and Big Education to establish itself, our rights as Americans began to circle the drain. Big Bureaucracy, filled with trained Marxists established itself in the government and in corporate America to ensure we marched in lock-step with the Communist ideals of our new Marxist Masters. There was also big money to be made in diversity and inclusion consultation. Human Resources administrators eagerly signed on. There was also big money to be made in discrimination lawsuits and big, Capitalist companies to ruin in their wake. Out in Portland, one major employer – Standard Insurance – has run up the white flag (if you’ll pardon the expression) and is fleeing the city, fearing for its employees’ safety and for the safety of the building itself in which they are housed. They’ve fled to one of Portland’s suburbs. Antifa and Black Lives Matter must have held a party when that news was released. One Capitalist company down, 99 more to go. Between the riots and the Wuhan Flu, New York City is completely deserted. Many think the city is completely dead, from a financial stand-point. Residents are racing for the suburbs. They’re not quite out of reach of the City; they’re buying homes within commuting distance. But the companies and businesses will probably not return. Thanks to Mayor DeBlasio’s deconstruction, high taxes, rising crime and riots, and the Flu, New York City will never be itself again. Workers who are still employed are working from home, using applications like Zoom, which is making China enormously wealthy and powerful. Students also use Zoom, or something like it. Teachers can now spy on family activities. But the upshot is that now parents are more aware of the Marxist ideology that their children are absorbing, including gender fluid studies as well as climate change, and the 1619 Project. With fewer people driving to work – which is what the Marxist want; one of their goals is for us to all use unionized “mass” transit – Goodyear Tire and Rubber may well find itself in the “Red” in another year or two. Have you kicked the tires recently on Black Lives Matter and the 1619 Project?

Voting in the “New Normal” New Jersey

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy’s executive order on mail-in voting was cleverly-worded so as not to infringe on the civil rights of Garden Staters. Voters would have the option of in-person voting – but in only one polling place only per town. That would mean more crowded polling stations and a longer time to vote since you would have to fill out a provisional ballot instead of being in and out in about five minutes. More polling stations would reduce the virus risk and electronic machines would make voting faster and actually more sanitary. The machines already have protection on them, so that you’re touching a plastic mat, not the actual ballot. New Jersey is wholly owned by the Democrat Party, so it’s hard to understand why they would want to suppress the vote here. What are they afraid of? That the estimated 2 million non-voting voters might just turn up after seeing the riots and knowing they’re running an idiot as President and a riot supporter (Kamala Harris posted bail for the rioters in Minneapolis)? Our primaries were subject to recount. Trump Conservative Hirsh Singh lost the N.J. Senate Primary to Rik Mehta, 38.0% to 35.9%. (154,817 to 146,133). The turnout was much higher than the mid-term elections in 2018. But then, this is a presidential election year. Singh demanded a recount. With only 8,684 votes between winning and losing, Singh had good reason to demand one. He sent this e-mail to his supporters: Our first recount has been approved and paid for in Sussex County! With this court victory, we now have the ability to challenge the entire Republican U.S. Senate Primary Election and the: • Over 49,000 votes scanned in, but supposedly did not vote for President or U.S. Senate. • Over 40,000 votes rejected and not counted by the Board of Elections. • Thousands of votes that were received by the Board of Elections but not processed, reported or counted by the Secretary of State. • Thousands of votes that were stamped “July 8th” by the postal service but were handled differently in each county. I will fight and we will stop this process riddled with systemic failure that was set up to ensure a Biden and Booker victory in NJ. President Trump, meanwhile, criticized the U.S. Postal Service for its poor performance in handling the primary election ballots The Associated Press reports: “Facing mounting public pressure and a crush of state lawsuits, President Donald Trump’s new postmaster general announced Tuesday he is halting some operational changes to mail delivery that critics blamed for widespread delays and warned could disrupt the November election. “Postmaster General Louis DeJoy said he would ‘suspend’ several of his initiatives — including the removal of the distinctive blue mailboxes that prompted an outcry — until after the election ‘to avoid even the appearance of impact on election mail.’ “’We will deliver the nation’s election mail on time,’ DeJoy said in a statement. “The abrupt reversal from DeJoy, who is set to testify Friday before the Senate, comes as more than 20 states, from New York to California, announced they would be suing to stop the changes. Several vowed they would press on, keeping a watchful eye on the Postal Service ahead of the election. “Speaker Nancy Pelosi is pushing ahead with Saturday’s vote to prevent election-year mail changes and provide emergency postal funds. “’I don’t, frankly, trust the postmaster general,’ Pelosi said in San Francisco. “The crisis at the Postal Service has erupted as a major election year issue as DeJoy, a Republican donor who took control of the agency in June, has swiftly engineered cuts and operational changes that are disrupting mail delivery operations and raising alarms that Trump is trying to undermine the agency ahead of the election. “At the White House, Trump has flatly denied he is seeking to slow down the mail, even as he leveled fresh assaults Tuesday on mail-in voting and universal ballots. More Americans than ever are expected to choose to vote absentee during the coronavirus outbreak. “’You can’t have millions and millions of ballots sent all over the place, sent to people that are dead, sent to dogs, cats, sent everywhere,’ Trump told reporters. “’This isn’t games and you have to get it right,’ Trump said.” This is about China interfering with our elections, via the deliberately-released Wuhan Flu and about the Democrats trying to take advantage of lock-downs, which began in the Democrat states of New Jersey and New York, to further their own goals. Leaving only one polling station open per town makes about as much sense as leaving only one area grocery store open. Everyone will either be forced to crowd into that one polling station or else they’ll have to take their chances and mail in their ballots Opening, not closing, polling stations is what would ease the virus risk. In fact, municipalities should be opening more polling stations than normal. The schools here in New Jersey are closed, so there would be no danger to the kiddies if their gyms served as polling stations. Plus, we have that wonderful Democrat innovation of ‘early voting’ which would decrease the risk even further. If we used election machines, the poll guards (the people standing near the machines) could give the screen a quick swipe before the next voter – one-two-three! But, no. The Democrats want to do things the hard way because the hard way makes it easier for them to cheat. Here in New Jersey, you can post a civil rights complaint against Governor Murphy. His executive order wording was sly. His remedy would only create a broader, not lesser risk. He needs to open all of a municipality’s polling stations, and more. He is violating our civil rights by: • Eliminating the secret ballot • Exposing our ballots to theft and destruction • Risking miscounts of ballots • Lengthening the time it will take to count the ballots, which would deprive us of a speedy election • Increasing the expense of elections by having to print out paper ballots • Endangering the health of communities by limiting the number of polling stations • And increasing the time it takes to vote by filling out a paper ballot rather than voting electronically. We Conservatives need to do more to stop the self-suppression of votes among Republican and even Conservative voters. The turnout for the 2018 Mid-Term election was pathetic. The total number of registered Republican voters who voted was 26,159. The total number of Democrats was 29,658. There are 1,377,064 registered Republicans, 2,408,549 Democrats, and 2,330,689 unaffiliated or Independent voters. That’s almost as many Independents as Democrats. So how is it that out of 1.37 million registered Republicans, only 26,159 voted in the 2018 Mid-Term election? We need to find out what’s going on with these people – well, we already know; they don’t believe a Republican can win in New Jersey, or at least not in Northern New Jersey. That means 1,350,000 Republicans didn’t vote. New Jersey doesn’t even have a city that big. These lazy, unmotivated people might even prefer the mail-in ballot, although it still takes some effort to get in your car, drive to the special drop box (our town has one), get out of the car, put the mail-in ballot into the box (which you have to fill out by hand) then get back in your car and go home again. The lack of civics lessons in school, the constant negative news about politics, and the negative divisiveness between the parties is what sickens most voters. Listen, the U.S. Congress had corrupt politicians from the very start, according to Thomas Jefferson. If you’re waiting for honest politicians to pop their heads up, you have a better chance of witnessing Jesus’ return than you do expecting all politicians to be honest. If citizens were more involved in vetting the politicians, if newspapers and the Media honest, and if voters did their homework, we’d probably have better results. Voter laziness is almost certainly going to result in a future Marxist dictatorship. We’ve been primed for it for over 60 years. The answer is not, “You can’t fight city hall” or “It’s beyond our control.” The whole idea of the United States of America was a limited government that would not get “beyond our control.” Somewhere along the line, we Americans dropped the ball – with the assistance of a Marxist Media and Academia. We need to do something before it’s too late (and it nearly is). You can start by sending your governor a message and use the enemy’s weapon (civil rights) against them at the same time.

Joe Biden for Dunce-in-Chief

Yesterday, Rush Limbaugh reported that Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden had to repeat the third grade. We checked for some other sources, including a clip on someone’s blog from Politico that seems to affirm the fact. Democrat hacks claim that was simply a matter of his having a November birth date and that it was simply a matter of his not being mature enough to keep up with the older students at Archmere Academy in Claymont, Del., a Catholic school. But why didn’t they make that decision when he was in kindergarten? My brother and his ex-wife held their son back from entering kindergarten for a year, being a November baby, like his father. Why allow a child to go so far before realizing they’re not ready? My nephew did fine. In fact, it may have been a mistake because he was so intelligent, he was actually bored. His father – our brother – was not held back. My parents sent him sailing on ahead as a very young member of the future Class of 1973. Big Brother did very well. He was excellent student, especially in Math, Science, and History. English not so much, maybe. Given the perversity and psychological nature of English lit in general, it’s penchant for dreary stories, we find it hard to blame Big Brother for not taking much interest in the subject. Some of his teachers wanted to hold him back, but Mom said, “Like heck, you are!” They had no basis other than his age for wanting to hold him back. He was also smarter than some of his teachers, one of whom didn’t know what year Lindbergh flew across the Atlantic. Even when my mother brought her factual proof of Lindbergh’s flight, the teacher still refused to correct his grade. He did not flunk the third grade or any other grade. He got good grades, went to college and got an MBA in 1978. After which he held a good managerial job for 40 years at the same company. He retired this past spring. So we must wonder: Joe Biden flunked the third grade? JOE BIDEN FLUNKED THE THIRD GRADE?! A man who is running for President of the United States flunked and had to repeat the third grade?! Are you kidding us? Then there’s the matter of Biden’s serial plagiarism. According to an opinion piece written by former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker on September 5, 2019, “Liar or Idiot”: It is hard to tell which of these best describes former Vice President Joe Biden. In fact, I really don’t understand how he can even be a contender considering his past. During the summer of my freshman year in college, then-U.S. Sen. Biden plagiarized the words of the leader of the British Labor Party, Neil Kinnock. These are the exact words he used during his closing statement at a Democrat debate at the Iowa State Fair on Aug. 23, 1987: “I started thinking as I was coming over here, why is it that Joe Biden is the first in his family ever to go to a university? Why is it that my wife who is sitting out there in the audience is the first in her family to ever go to college? Is it because our fathers and mothers were not bright? Is it because I’m the first Biden in a thousand generations to get a college and a graduate degree that I was smarter than the rest?” Two months earlier, on May 15, 1987, Mr. Kinnock delivered a speech to the Welsh Labor Party Conference. Mr. Kinnock pointed to his wife Glenys in the crowd when talking about her in his speech. Mr. Biden did the same thing during his closing statement at the debate. He included several other items taken from the earlier speech without attribution to the Labor leader. “Why am I the first Kinnock in a thousand generations to be able to get to university? Why is Glenys the first woman in her family in a thousand generations to be able to get to university? Was it because all our predecessors were thick?” The Kinnock address was rebroadcast in 1987 during the general election in the United Kingdom. It wasn’t too long before the media started reporting on Mr. Biden’s plagiarism. At the time, another report came out that showed Mr. Biden used major parts of a 1967 speech by former Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy in his comments to the California Democratic Party on Feb. 3, 1987. The reports also said he used a portion of President John F. Kennedy’s 1961 inaugural address during his California speech. And the reports contended that he lifted portions of a 1976 speech by former Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey. But there’s more … The tsunami of media attention to his plagiarism started by the Kinnock speech opened the door to a closer look at Mr. Biden’s’s academic record at the Syracuse University School of Law. The media focused on the fact that Mr. Biden had received a failing grade in an introductory class on legal methodology because he wrote a paper relying almost exclusively on an article in the Fordham Law Review that he only cited once in the paper. The media noted that he was allowed to repeat the course and he passed — and that his failing grade was removed from his record. On Sept. 17, 1987, Mr. Biden held a press conference where he acknowledged the story about the law school paper but claimed that he did not know the proper rules of citation (a strange argument considering he was studying to be a lawyer). He dismissed the plagiarism as “much ado about nothing.” At this point, I am thinking that Mr. Biden is a serial liar. But then I learned that he gave the media a 65-page file of his academic records from law school. Idiot, clearly an idiot. The media looked at Mr. Biden’s’s academic records and compared them to his statements in public about his academic career. Exhibit 1 is a C-SPAN video of Mr. Biden at a campaign stop in Claremont, New Hampshire. A local resident asked Mr. Biden how he did in law school. Mr. Biden responded: “I think I probably have a much higher IQ than you do.” He also said, “The first year in law school I decided I didn’t want to be in law school and ended up in the bottom two-thirds of my class and then decided I wanted to stay and went back to law school and in fact ended up in the top half of my class.” The Associated Press noted that the law school records given to them by Mr. Biden himself show that in his first semester, he ranked 80 out of 100. By the second semester of his second year, he was 79 out of 87. Ultimately, he graduated 76th in a class of 85. Hardly rising to the top half of his class. Now I am not making the argument that Joe Biden needed to rank in the top half of his class to run for president. What I am saying is that he either can’t tell the truth or he doesn’t know what it is. Either that makes him a liar or an idiot. Unfortunately, I think it might be both. • Scott Walker was the 45th governor of Wisconsin. You can contact him at swalker@washingtontimes.com or follow him @ScottWalker. Former Governor Walker is being generous. Maybe he doesn’t have a problem with a presidential candidate – a man who was once one step away from the presidency as Vice President – is basically a dunce. But we voters do. We all knew about the plagiarism. We didn’t know he’d flunked the third grade. In a time when education in America is at such a critical point, we don’t need an academic dunce running the country. Biden has a history of cringe-worthy gaffes that betray a seriously defective mind. Newsmax Magazine did a full-feature on Joe Biden in its August 2020 issue. Biden’s statement in June that the coronavirus had killed 120 million Americans – “roughly a third of the U.S. population,” reporter David Patten state, “it marked yet another verbal blunder for the self-proclaimed “gaffe machine.” “Biden quickly correct himself, adjusting the death toll to 120,000.” “During the Democrat debates, former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro took aim at Biden of his shifting stance on healthcare policy. “’Are you forgetting already what you said just two minutes ago?’ he asked Biden. Even the Marxist Media couldn’t help fretting: “After the Washington Post-MSNBC debate in November, Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough remarked, ‘Are we afraid to say that a lot of his sentences don’t make sense? That he’s having trouble completing his thoughts?’” Biden will turn 78 in November, outbidding Donald Trump for oldest running candidate. Trump was in 70 and while critics complain that his speech isn’t refined enough for the Chief Executive of the United States, his voters are fine with it. Plenty of people don’t make it through their first year of college. I didn’t. I can vouch for hating the college course my parents had selected for me – secretarial science – and flunked out until I obtained a promise that I could transfer to a four-year school to study Communications or English. My only regret is that I didn’t choose history instead. My late friend hated college, too. He spent a miserable year studying engineering before his parents relented, brought him back home and allowed him to enroll in auto mechanic school. Our mutual friend was in the same state. He went to a high school in an affluent town that was one hundred percent college preparatory. He didn’t want to go to school. Like our late friend, he wanted to be a mechanic or mechanical engineering. He liked to make things. But then his older brother overheard the teachers talking about how they simply couldn’t allow these two brothers to flunk out or not take college prep courses. They were so terrified of these two bringing down the school’s reputation that they both would show up late to classes without being punished and passed them on language courses they never wanted to take and never attended. Because it was an affluent school, the mutual friend not only got the chance to learn world history but was taught, in a separate class, the history of ancient Greece and Rome. The lucky dogs. I did finally take that course in college. The textbooks were written in Marxist language, playing up the misfortunes of the poorer classes versus the wealthy landowners of the times, and only giving the briefest attention to the military leaders, artists and philosophers of the day. The book did make mention of Xerxes, the Persian king, whipping and chaining the Hellespont (the Dardanelles) when a storm wrecked the bridge he had built to cross over into European Greece. But it missed the part about the storm. That book simply said the bridge collapsed; the authors didn’t say why. The engineers were beheaded. Who needs to read fiction when you can read stories like that? In any case, we need to demand more from our candidates for public office and we don’t mean pork barrel legislation, either. The president should have served in the military. Trump didn’t, but at least he went to military school when he was young. We should also expect the president to have been a pretty darned good student. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson graduated from Eton. France’s president, Emmanuel Macron studied philosophy at Paris Nanterre University (one of Paris’ most prestigious universities), later completing a master’s degree in public affairs at Paris School of Political Sciences and graduating from the Ecole nationale d’administration in 2004. He was educated mainly at the Jesuit institute Lycee la Providence in Amiens before his parents sent him to finish his last year of school at the elite Lycee Henri-IV in Paris, Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel was educated at Karl Marx University, Leipzig, where she studied physics from 1973 to 1978. She obtained a doctorate in quantum chemistry in 1986 and worked as a research scientist until 1989. However, In 1968, Merkel joined the Free Germany Youth (FDJ), the official Communist youth movement sponsored by the ruling Marxist–Leninist Socialist Unity Party of Germany. Membership was nominally voluntary, as it is in China. But those who did not join found it difficult to gain admission to higher education. She did not participate in the secular coming-of-age ceremony Jugendweih, however, which was common in East Germany. Instead, she was confirmed. During this time, she participated in several compulsory courses on Marxism-Leninism with her grades only being regarded as “sufficient.” Merkel later said that, “Life in the GDR was sometimes almost comfortable in a certain way, because there were some things one simply couldn’t influence.” Funny, that’s kind of what my Communist U.S. History II teacher implied. To varying degrees, Great Britain, France and Germany are Socialist countries. Macron and Merkel are well-trained for their particular leadership positions. America is definitely – and proudly – a Capitalist country, first and foremost. What we need and have, finally, is a president who was trained as a businessman and a negotiator. He graduated from the Wharton School of Business, which is a pretty impressive bona fide for a President of the United States. This is a president who knows his business and America’s business. He will stand up for our freedom and our prosperity; that is, our business, our jobs, and our future. There are bets that Biden won’t even make it through his first term. And Harris is descended from a Jamaican slave-owner on her father’s side, by the name of Hamilton Brown. Harris’ selection was purely a matter of identity politics with the notion that the failing and moronic Biden will step aside and allow Harris, 55, to step into the White House. The Marxist Media was horrified to learn about Harris’ past and are busy trying to find some facts to deny it. If this pair – both of them fence-sitting liars who frequently tell the voters what they want to hear – is elected, America may well die of humiliation before it’s finished off by Marxism.

Live from the White House, It’s President Trump!

President Trump has made his decision about the location for his Republican nomination acceptance speech: The White House. He even e-mailed supporters to ask which venue they preferred: A) Gettysburg; B) The White House. Apparently, the White House won. We wish the President would reconsider this choice. First, it gives credence to Democrat claims that if President Trump loses, he won’t yield the Presidency. He has said he won’t concede if he believes voter fraud has influenced the election. We think the Chinese have already done that with the Wuhan Flu. We see no need for closing polling stations. If you can go to the supermarket – wearing a mask – you can go to a polling station. Wiping down the election screen is no more difficult than wiping down the grocery cart at the supermarket. Mail-in ballots carry so many opportunities for fraud: • the destruction or theft of ballots • miscounting ballots • the time it takes to count them • ballots withheld so they don’t arrive on time • the addresses of voters printed on the envelope • the lack of identity of the voter This, in addition to all the illegal aliens in the country who have been welcome into the polling stations for at least 20 years. More importantly, the choice of Gettysburg would have sent a clear message to Antifa, Black Lives Matter, and all the various Marxist umbrella-groups seeking destroy our country. They know that, to quote Abraham Lincoln, “a house divided against itself cannot stand.” President Trump would hold the high ground at Gettysburg, the battle that helped turn the tide of the Civil War. He should stand wherever it was Lincoln stood to deliver the Gettysburg Address. After all, Lincoln was the leader, the first president of the newly-established Republican Party. In his speech, he should make the case for individual liberty, freedom and prosperity – for all. Far from being the diabolical Leviathan of the Western world, capitalism and entrepreneurship has lifted society far from the savage roots to which Marxists would return us. Capitalism has made it possible for average workers to own their own homes. Thanks to pharmaceuticals, many diseases have been cured and soon we may see a cure for the Coronavirus. Effective treatments already exist and are readily available at a low cost to consumers. Improvements in housing, education, and transportation – all products of our Capitalist society – have made life healthier and wealthier for all Americans. We’ve even return to the Moon. Marxism didn’t do that; Capitalism did. There is no such thing as a utopia. But America – with a limited government – comes as close as any nation ever will to being a utopia for all those who value freedom and prosperity; the ability to live by their own means. The Democrats are mistaken if they think Americans are ready now to surrender their independence. Just look at the controversy over wearing masks in order to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. The President has done his best to stay clear of this controversy. He refuses to wear the mask. He respects the right of every individual to choose whether to wear it or not, and leaves it to the states. Densely-populated New Jersey mandates the wearing of the mask. South Dakota does not, and they’re doing fine. Education has been disrupted during the shut-down of the states. Many schools will continue to use distance-learning. American parents have the opportunity to re-educate their children on the blessings of living in the United States of America and on the lives of the great men who founded her. They should read to them the entire Declaration of Independence, as it was originally penned by Thomas Jefferson. He inherited slaves from his wife’s estate. In the Virginia Colony, neither George Washington nor Jefferson could legally free their slaves except in death. Thomas Jefferson, in his first days as a representative in the Virginia House of Burgesses, put forth a bill manumitting the slaves; it was voted down. He wrote a rather lengthy condemnation of slavery in the original Declaration of Independence; the other signers edited it out completely. The President should read it aloud on national television. A radical group called “adbusters” has vowed to lay siege to and occupy the White House for 50 days beginning on September 17th up until Election Day. According to the Independent Sentinel.com, the group described itself on Twitter this way: “We are a global network of activists writers artists designers hackers tricksters poets philosophers and punks.” There is reason to worry about the validity of the Presidential Election, given the number of older votes who have died from The Virus, the number of illegal aliens who are permitted to vote, and the indoctrination of three generations of voters. We Conservatives must stop being afraid to speak out against this ruination of our country. America is our country; it certainly isn’t the country of the Marxists, for they don’t believe in freedom or prosperity (except for a certain number of elites). We need to pluck up our courage. We need the President to accept this nomination out in the open, in the cemeteries of Gettysburg. Many people haven’t been there and don’t realize the enormous sacrifice that was required to free the slaves and unite the country once more. Let President Trump stand upon that hallowed ground and show American just how much heroism it took for those men to out onto that broad battlefield (in some places, a mile across) and give their lives for their country. His predecessor, Abraham Lincoln, made the final sacrifice, issuing the Emancipation Proclamation, which suspected would lead to his murder. Yes, it was carefully worded. But in the wake of Lincoln’s assassination, Congress finally awoke from its lethargy and passed the 13th Amendment, banning slavery. If President Trump doesn’t have the courage to go there, and if we don’t have the courage to defend our freedom, write petitions to force the government to hold open elections in the voting booth, to counter BLM charges of racism, and either turn our schools around or find alternative methods of teaching our children, then we will have betrayed the sacrifice of President Lincoln and the over 364,000 deaths (battle and other causes) of Union soldiers. John Wilkes Booth, President Lincoln’s assassin, called him “a tyrant.” “Sic semper tyrannus,” Booth yelled as he fired at Lincoln. “Thus ever to tyrants.” The Marxists want to turn our world, our lives upside down. This has been their goal since Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels published “The Communist Manifesto” in 1848. They see Capitalist society as a pyramid, with the wealthy out of reach on top. But you can still climb. Communism is a coffin, in which half or even most of society will be nailed shut into the coffin, with a bureaucrat state sitting on the lid, keeping us locked in. Be brave like President Lincoln, Mr. Trump. Speak at Gettysburg. That’s the place to accept the Republican nomination for President of the United States.

Biden’s Big VEEP Reveal

Democrat Presidential Nominee Joe “Basement Boy” Biden has kept us all on tenterhooks and pins and needles waiting for him to announce his choice for vice presidential running mate. All he would tell an anxious America was that it would certainly be a woman! Oh, who could it be?! Who would he choose? Oh, me oh my!  The suspense is just killing us!!Karen Bass? Oh no. He couldn’t choose a “Karen,” even if she is Black. She was chair of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) during the 116th Congress. She also serves as Chair of the United States House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, Global Human Rights and International Organizations and the United States House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security. In June 2009, Bass drew criticism from conservative commentators for statements she made during an interview with Los Angeles Times reporter Patt Morrison in response to a question about how conservative talk radio affected the Assembly’s efforts to pass a state budget. Referencing the condemnation from conservative talk radio hosts that three Republicans experienced after they voted for a Democrat-sponsored plan to create revenue by raising taxes, Bass described the pressures Republican lawmakers face: The Republicans were essentially threatened and terrorized against voting for revenue. Now [some] are facing recalls. They operate under a terrorist threat: “You vote for revenue and your career is over. I don’t know why we allow that kind of terrorism to exist. I guess it’s about free speech, but it’s extremely unfair.” Except when Nancy Pelosi threatens to choke off Republicans in the House, of course. On August 3, 2016, Bass launched a petition to have then-candidate Donald Trump psychologically evaluated, suggesting that he exhibited symptoms of narcissistic personality disorder (NPD). The petition was signed by 37,218 supporters. She did not attend President Trump’s inauguration after conducting a poll on Twitter. Fueled by Trump’s election and in an effort to channel Angelenos’ political frustrations, Bass created the Sea Change Leadership PAC to activate, educate, and mobilize voters. She won her primary with 89.18% of the vote and was reelected to a fifth term with 88.2% of the vote Susan Rice (Obama’s National Security Adviser)? No, you could eliminate her, even though she’s a Black woman, with one word: Benghazi. Elizabeth “Fauxahontas” Warren? First of all, she’s White. And secondly, she attempted to minoritize herself when she wrote on her application for a State Bar of Texas write-in form that she was an American Indian. She later apologized for her ‘micro-aggression.’ U.S. Sen. from California Kamala Harris? Oh, ta-dah! There’s a vice president for you. She checks of a lot of boxes: African-American, Asian-American (her mother was from India), and woman. In 1990, Harris was hired as a deputy district attorney in Alameda County, California, where she was noted as being “an able prosecutor on the way up”.[29] In 1994, California Assembly speaker Willie Brown (with whom Harris was in a relationship) appointed Harris to the state Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board and later the California Medical Assistance Commission. Harris took a leave of absence from her prosecutor job to serve in the positions. In February 1998, San Francisco district attorney Terence Hallinan recruited Harris as an assistant district attorney. There, she became the chief of the Career Criminal Division, supervising five other attorneys, where she prosecuted homicide, burglary, robbery, and sexual assault cases – particularly Three-Strikes cases. Harris reportedly clashed with Hallinan’s assistant, Darrell Salomon over Proposition 21, which would have granted prosecutors the option of trying juvenile defendants in Superior Court rather than juvenile courts. Harris campaigned against the measure and Salomon opposed directing media inquiries about Proposition 21 to Harris and reassigned her, a de facto demotion. Harris filed a complaint against Salomon and quit. In October 2003, the San Francisco Ethics Commission found that Harris violated the city’s campaign finance law by exceeding the voluntary $211,000 spending limit. In what was thought to be the largest fine to date under that law, the Ethics Commission levied up to $34,000 in penalties and corrective measures, and ordered her to buy newspaper ads informing voters that she had exceeded the spending limit. Harris accepted full blame, saying, “Leadership isn’t about being perfect. Leadership means taking responsibility.” Harris spent nearly $625,000 while Hallinan spent just over $285,000; both advanced to the general election run-off with 33% and 37% of the vote, respectively. Harris pledged never to seek the death penalty and to prosecute three-strike offenders only in cases of violent felonies. Harris ran a “forceful” campaign, assisted by former mayor Willie Brown, Senator Dianne Feinstein, writer and cartoonist Aaron McGruder, and comedians Eddie Griffith and Chris Rock. When all else fails, send in the clowns? Harris differentiated herself from Hallinan by attacking his performance. She argued that she left his office because it was technologically inept and “dysfunctional”, emphasizing his “abysmal” 52% conviction rate for serious crimes despite an 83% average conviction rate statewide. She accused Hallinan of mismanaging his office by promoting people in his office without merit and covering up allegations of prosecutorial misconduct. Harris further charged that his office wasn’t doing enough to stem the city’s gun violence (?!), particularly in poor neighborhoods and attacked his willingness to accept plea bargains in cases of domestic violence. “”It is not progressive to be soft on crime,” she stated. Really? Well, that was in 2003. While you muddle-headed RINOs are contemplating a vote for Harris, consider this: In 2015, Harris conducted a 90-day review of implicit, or subconscious, bias and lethal use of force. In April 2015, Harris introduced the first of its kind “Principled Policing: Procedural Justice and Implicit Bias” training, designed in conjunction with Stanford University psychologist and professor Jennifer Eberhardt, to “help” law enforcement officers “overcome barriers” to neutral policing and rebuild the relationship of trust between law enforcement and the community. All Command-level staff received the training. The training was part of a package of reforms introduced within the California Department of Justice, which also included additional resources deployed to increase the recruitment and hiring of diverse special agents, an expanded role for the department to investigate officer-related shooting investigations, and community policing. In 2015, Harris’s California Department of Justice was the first statewide agency in the country to require all of its police officers to wear body cameras. That same year, Harris announced a new state law requiring every law enforcement agency in California to collect, report, and publish expanded statistics on how many people are shot, seriously injured or killed by peace officers throughout the state In 2016, Harris announced a patterns and practices investigation into purported civil rights violations and use of excessive force by the two largest law enforcement agencies in Kern County, California, the Bakersfield Police Department and the Kern County Sheriff’s Department. Labeled the “deadliest police departments in America” in a five-part Guardian expose, a separate investigation commissioned by the ACLU and submitted to the California Department of Justice corroborated reports of police using excessive force. The ACLU found that officers had engaged in patterns of excessive force – including shooting and beating to death allegedly unarmed individuals – as well as a practice of filing retaliatory criminal charges against individuals subjected to excessive force. Further analysis also revealed the highest rate of police homicides in the country, as well as excessive use of force, resulting in 17 deaths of allegedly unarmed civilians from 2009 to 2013 in the form of dog attacks and tazings. We rather figured the Democrats would choose Harris as Biden’s running mate. Whether Biden is seriously demented and addled, or whether it’s an act, we can be sure that the Democrat’s purpose of first choosing this idiot as their President and having him choose a minority woman as his running mate is that, in all likelihood, Biden will step down sometime during his first term due to “medical issues” and then this unelected person will step into the presidency. The Democrats will argue that she was on the ticket. However, in the case of Gerald Ford, when President Richard Nixon resigned in August 1974, Ford was legally considered an “unelected” president. Why would we want a President who hails from a state whose economy and culture are circling the drain? In San Francisco, they have had to hire pooper-scoopers to clean up the human feces in the streets (they could use some pooper-scoopers in Paterson, N.J. – if you live on the East Coast, visit your local blighted city and discover for yourself just how disgusting – and medically dangerous – it is. Why would we want a former prosecutor who has so obviously become anti-law enforcement? The only mark against President Trump is a slumping economy that we foolishly imported from China. Before China launched the Wuhan Flu against us, we were doing great. Even I was working. We don’t believe for a moment that this virus is a coincidence. Don’t listen to the Priests of Propaganda tell you that Harris is a sane choice, especially compared to her own running mate and boss. Don’t make the mistake you made in 2008 – ‘Oh, she’s Black, she’s Asian-Indian, and she’s a woman. Oh goody. I want to be part of history!’ The only part of history you’ll play is in the destruction of America and freedom.

POD School Choice

Glenn Beck recently interviewed Dr. Debra Soh, a Canadian science columnist, political commentator, former academic sex researcher and former feminist, and author of “The End of Gender: Debunking the Myths about Sex and Identity in Our Society.” She is still a Liberal, Beck explained, but had become dismayed by the transgender movement that thrusts gender transformation on young children. Eventually, Beck got around to discussing the teaching of “gender fluidity” to children as young as five, and maybe even earlier. He also talked about the general teaching of Marxism and asked Dr. Soh what she thought parents should do. “Well,” she said slowly, and I thought slyly, her eyes narrowing, “it would probably be best if the students just took down what the teacher says and pass the test. Nobody is really going to care once the college students have their degree. They can just forget about it afterwards…if they want to.” Wow. Where have I heard that before? Beck was flabbergasted. He didn’t know what to reply to that typical Marxist subtlety. How about this? That’s great, only students aren’t getting the education for which they signed up and their parents paid! It’s like this: Imagine yourself going to a restaurant (when you could still go to one and sit down to a dinner). Your order a nice, juicy, Texas steak, mashed potatoes with gravy, and some side vegetable. The waitress returns with a veggie steak, an apple salad, and kale. What do you do? Do you just sit there and eat it, or do you send her back to the kitchen to bring you what you ordered? Well, of course, you send it back. “This isn’t what I ordered. Bring me my steak and mashed potatoes with gravy!” Ordinarily, that’s what would happen. Only, instead, the woke waitress lectures you in a scolding voice about saving the environment, and climate change, and your own diet. “I don’t care about the environment!” you shout. “I just want my damned steak!” She refuses obdurately. Now the manager comes over to inquire if there’s a problem. You tell him what’s happening. In the old normal, you would have gotten your steak and the waitress would have been publicly fired on the spot. Instead, now the manager lectures you. You were given, it seems, an out-dated menu. The Marxist Restaurant Climatologists are doing a study of restaurants to see which diners are not complying with Climate Change and you’ve just failed. Now he yells at you, calls you names – “Planet Killer!” “Animal Abuser!!” and the ultimate insult, “White Supremacist!” The whole restaurant is staring at you and your wife now. Older couples look on sympathetically, younger couples studiously avoid your gaze, and a group of young adults jeer at you. You and your wife finally decide it would be much easier to go to the supermarket and grill your own steak. That is what parents who want to challenge their local school curriculum face: corrupted or threatened teachers, an administrator who was indoctrinated back in the Sixties, and a weak school board who are terrified of the teachers’ union. Parents should try to stand up to their local school boards but it may not work. It didn’t work back in 1976 – the bicentennial, for goodness sake! – when our U.S. History II teacher dumped American history for “the glories of Communism.” My father and other parents gallantly went to bat for us. But the school board backed up the teacher. That’s why I’ve written that parents who truly care about what their children are being taught – be it gender fluidity, climate change, critical race theory, the 1619 project, or Langston Hughes (a noted Communist author whom we had to read in the Third or Fourth Grade) – must look to alternative education. One hopeful sign is that Hillsdale College has begun opening private schools for grades K-12. In the wake of The Virus, other parents are gathering together and creating “POD Schools” where they pool their financial resources to hire a private teacher to instruct small groups of children. The Marxists have been fiercely fighting home-schooling, which began with a small sect of parents sometime in the 1990s. The parents cited religious reasons for wanting to teach their children at home. Critics charged that the parent was rarely a “trained professional” and couldn’t give their children the necessary socialization. The home schoolers fixed that by arranging social activities with one another. They played sports, made music, and had parties. The state couldn’t find a way to force a family into accreditation the way they could a private school. The student had to pass the state test but as long as the student could bypass the diversity questions and still pass, that was all they needed to do. But now, with the POD schools, the state of California has passed to penalize any family that hires a tutor. The law was passed last year, as part of an anti-white privilege move to prevent more affluent families from hiring tutors to help their college-bound students pass the SAT. According to the San Diego Union Tribune.com: “Some San Diego-area advocates worry that parents could get fined for breaking a state law if they hire tutors or teachers to help their children with distance learning — but the legislator who authored the law in question says that is not the case. “The AB 5 law signed last year requires certain workers who previously would have been considered independent contractors to be paid and given benefits as employees. The state does not include teachers or tutors on its list of workers who are exempt from AB 5. “Former congressional candidate and Reform California Chairman Carl DeMaio held a press conference Wednesday calling for Gov. Gavin Newsom to suspend AB 5 for teachers and tutors. “DeMaio said parents could get penalized for not paying and treating tutors as employees, which includes following California’s minimum wage, work hours, and workplace safety and retaliation laws. “The idea that the governor has been silent on this enforcement problem is shocking, because many parents are scrambling right now to find out how do they help their children keep pace,” DeMaio said Wednesday. “The spokeswoman for the legislation’s author, Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez (D-San Diego), said tutors hired by parents generally qualify as independent contractors. “According to AB 5, a worker is an independent contractor if he or she is free from the direction and control of the hiring entity, does work that is outside the hiring entity’s normal scope, and has an established independent business. “In most cases, tutors working for parents would meet those requirements, Gonzalez’ spokeswoman said. “But the requirements could be different depending on the nature of the situation, Gonzalez said in an email late Monday night. For example, if a parent hires someone to essentially be a nanny and babysit and tutor their children in their home, then that would likely involve other employment laws outside of AB 5. “Working parents desperate for help with child care and home-schooling during the school closures have been scrambling to hire tutors and teachers to make up for the absence of in-person schooling. “Many parents have been forming so-called learning pods or micro-schools, where they join with a group of other families and collectively pay for a teacher or tutor. “AB 5 went into effect at the beginning of this year. The law was meant to prevent exploitation of workers and improve working conditions, but it has drawn criticism for increasing costs for employers and diminishing flexibility for many gig workers. “When asked for comment, Newsom’s press office deferred to the state’s Labor Workforce and Development Agency, which did not respond Wednesday.” Oh yes, California AB5 was meant to protect the gig workers. What it is meant to protect is the teachers in the teachers’ unions and the agenda they must propagate. If a teacher has gone rogue, that’s because they can’t in good conscience teach a student that 2 + 2 = 5, or that George Washington was an evil slave-owner, or that success is unfair. At the moment, AB5 doesn’t penalize parents with heavy fines and taxes. But the legislation is a work in progress in which independent teachers will be forced to list their clients on their tax forms and those “clients” will be heavily fined for hiring a tutor or other educational professional for private education. Parents would do well, in the midst of this lockdown, to invest in online teacher’s certificate programs. If you already have a bachelor’s degree, you may be eligible for the alternative teaching certification program. You’ll still have to get past the Education Police. But you’re adults, not malleable adolescents (at least we hope not). Your brains are more developed and can more readily make a critical analysis of what is right and what isn’t. Marxism plays to the emotions. The poor Black slaves. The mistreated miners. The child laborers. The bored housewives. Marxism played hero to all these minority groups. They stand on a century-old record, claiming victory. But the price for that victory is your freedom and your children. Your individuality. Your right to succeed. Your right to choose. With gender fluidity and sexual freedom classes in pre-school, your children are being set up to become the sex slaves of the next Jeffrey Epstein (Hollywood is filled to the brim with them). It’s not that mothers shouldn’t earn a college degree (especially in business) or learn a trade or work outside the home. In fact, men and women should do both. For what would you wives do financially if something happened to your husbands? But your spouse and your children, your home; these must come first. Not only should you be attending the school board meetings, if you have leadership qualities, you should run for the local school board. In 2009, we held the TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party rallies. Today, we need another cause, one even more exigent, a new motto, a new TEA: Teach Exceptional Americans. Marx’s plan was always for the state to take over the education, meaning indoctrination, of our children. The first teachers of the future students were indoctrinated in the 1930s. Ninety years later, their plan is just about complete. The state (that is, the government) controls our schools, and Marxists control the state, and so, they now control our children, and we’ve just carelessly let them spirit our kids away while we pursue some materialistic goal, some prattle about self-fulfillment. Companies and corporations are totally onboard with it. They want Dad traveling to some meeting in Phoenix, not going home to wife and family, to play catch with Junior in the backyard or read a bedtime story to the Little Princess. And kids have been taught to be okay with it. In fact, as Glenn Beck pointed out on his radio show this morning, kids are told not to repeat to their parents what they were taught in school. That’s what my brothers and I were told (as if we could keep anything from Mom). Beck and his guest were discussing how alarmed teachers and administrators are with the distance learning, where the parents can see what their children are being taught. That was never supposed to be the case. With Common Core, children were given laptops (courtesy of Bill Gates) with a password that they were cautioned not to give to their parents. Nor were they to allow their parents to even look at the computer. Glenn spoke about a Reset that the Marxists have planned for us. If you’ll recall during her campaign in 2016, Hillary used something called the “Reset Button.” She said that once they pressed that Reset button, America would be transformed. Marxists don’t work on the spur of the moment, for they might be discovered and thwarted. They’ve going for the long game, for over 80 years in academia, and longer than that in Labor and the Press or the Media, taking over newspapers through union strikes until the Conservative newspapers were driven out of business. The Virus has left an unintentional crack in the window that we can force open. But we must move swiftly. The Marxists have realized with alarm their mistake in using distance learning. Parents are figuring out they don’t need the public schools. The window has closed on most private schools now, which have been forced to teach the 1619 Project. Not every parent wants to be a teacher or have their kids, especially older kids, at home all day. Not every parent needs to. We can use the Marxist collectivism against their own goals, with the hated Nuclear Family at the core. As they press the iron boot down on our necks, these schools may need to go underground. That’s one reason for keeping the schooling in the family. Families are a bit less likely to betray you to The Party than strangers. Not all families are so harmonious. But most are. Collect the necessary educational materials while you can, while they’re still available online. Search for books on teaching methods and child psychology. Enlist the help of teacher friends who realize what is going on but can’t say so publicly. They can give you sound advice on issues such as classroom control and discipline (keep them busy, basically). Once your children are past school age, pass their books and educational toys on to younger family members or friendly neighbors. Above all, educate yourself. Make sure you’ve read the children’s classics yourself. Brush up on your algebra and geometry. Tune into National Geographic and the Science Channel with your kids. They have some great scientific and historical documentaries that you’ll enjoy. There are plenty of Conservative children’s book authors who’ve written on history (Rush Limbaugh’s Rush Revere books are wonderful) and other subjects as well. Socialization is important, but so is self-reliance. Self-reliance is one of the cornerstones of America’s foundation. This Virus Crisis can serve as a lesson for that reliance. The Greatest American Generation is nearly gone. More of them have vanished now, thanks to the Wuhan Flu. The youngest members of the Baby Boom Generation are now entering retirement age or are about to. We were the BB’s on the cusp between traditional education and the Marxist propaganda movement. I stood up – at a cost which did not make my parents happy. But time and again, I did. Right through the TEA Party movement and beyond. People will tell you to shut up and sit down. They’ll try to make you feel foolish or stupid or boorish. They’ll try to make it seem as if you have an “anger management” problem, that you’re not “cool.” Especially your kids and grandkids. Well, maybe they are a lost cause. They’ve been trained to distrust and resist us. The cause itself is not necessarily lost altogether. Not if we’re willing to stand up in the face of threats, to speak truth to power, and teach future generations the difference between truth and lies, fact and fiction, good and evil, and freedom and tyranny.

Nuking the Nuclear Family

The subject of the Nuclear Family and the goal of Marxists to destroy it is so broad, one almost doesn’t know where to begin. The Nuclear Family consists of a father, a mother, and x-number of children. Issues of money, raising the children, the division of labor, monogamy, spousal and child abuse, drinking and drugs, are all potential targets at which the Marxists have been aiming their death rays. Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels supposedly co-authored “The Communist Manifesto” in 1848. But actually, Marx did all the writing; Engels provided the financial support and research assistance. Just before his death, Marx was collecting notes and research for another book, “The Origin of the Family, Private Property and the State.” Marx died before he could put pen to paper, so Engels gathered up all his research and wrote the book. Marx based his book on the work by American anthropologist Lewis Henry Morgan, “Ancient Society: Researches in the Lines of Human Progress from Savagery through Barbarism to Civilization” (1877). Morgan, using a study of the Iroquois Indian tribe in New York, studied the progression of society from savagery – small groups of nomads living off the land – to barbarism – groups living in communal tribes – to civilization – a capitalist society where production is maximized and property and wealth are managed by banks and large land owners. Minus the Marxist propaganda, Engels’ book is an interesting read if you have a taste for ancient history. His perspective is skewed of course, and he skirts over the history of pre-Hellenic society, which was ruled by women. Women didn’t even realize it was men who got them pregnant, according to historian Robert Graves (“The Greek Myths,” 1955). They believed that they got pregnant from bathing in rivers or by the wind. The priestesses of the temples ruled. A man would be selected to rule as king from Midwinter to Midsummer, and then he would be sacrificed. The Erinyes, also known as the Furies, were female chthonic deities of vengeance in ancient Greek religion and mythology. A formulaic oath in the Iliad invokes them as “the Erinyes, that under earth take vengeance on men, whosoever hath sworn a false oath.” There were also the Maenads, the laurel-chewing priestesses of Daphoene “the Bloody One.” Pan, meaning “the devil” or “upright man,” was a god of the Arcadian fertility cult. Dressed in a goat-skin, he was the chosen lover of the Maenads during their drunken orgies, and sooner or later, the victim portraying him paid for this privilege with a violent death in which he was torn limb from limb. Then there were the Empusae (“forcers-in”). These were female demons who sexually attacked unwary men, according to Graves: “The filthy demons…children of Hecate [goddess of magic, witchcraft, the night, moon, ghosts and necromancy], are ass-haunched and wear brazen [bronze] slippers – unless, as some declare, each has one ass’s leg and one brazen leg. Their habit is to frighten travelers, but they may be routed by insulting words, at the sound of which they flee shrieking. Empusae disguise themselves in the form of [female dogs], cows, or even beautiful maidens and, in the latter shape, will lie with men by night, or at the time of midday sleep, sucking their vital forces until they [the men, that is] die. “The Empusae [“forcers-in”] are greedily seductive female demons, a concept probably brought to Greece from Palestine, where they went by the name of Lilim (“children of Lilith) and were thought to be ass-haunched, the ass symbolizing lechery and cruelty. Liltih (“screech owl”) was a Canaanite Hecate, and the Jews made amulets to protect themselves against her as late as the Middle Ages. Hecate, the real ruler of Tartarus [Hell], wore a brazen sandal – the golden sandal was Aphrodite’s – and her daughters, the Empusae, followed this example. Lilith was the biblical Adam’s first wife. Yes, he had been married before. God created Man first. But He decided it was good for Adam to be alone. So God created Woman out of the same clay as Adam. They were to be equals. But the couple immediately began fighting. “I will not lie below,” and he said, “I will not lie beneath you, but only on top. For you are fit only to be in the bottom position while I am to be the superior one.” Lilith responded, “We are equal to one another inasmuch as we were both created from the Earth.” But they would not listen to one another. When Lilith saw this, she pronounced the Ineffable Name [the magic name of Yahweh, which it was forbidden for the Jews to pronounce) and flew away into the air.” Adam prayed to God, complaining that the woman He’d made for him had run away. God sent his Holy Angels after her. God told Adam that if she refused to return, one hundred of her children would die every day.” The angels caught up with Lilith in the sea. They told her to come back or else. But she refused, saying “I was created only to bear infants. If the infant is male, I have dominion over him for eight days after his birth, and if female, for twenty days.” What kind of deal was that, she wanted to know. Rather return, she preferred that one hundred of her children die every day. The text is a little murky. What she meant was that she would kill one hundred sick children every day, unless she saw an amulet around the child’s neck with the name of God or his Holy Angels. Other lore suggests that as punishment, God turned her into a winged serpent, the very serpent that seduced Eve, whom God created from Adam’s rib so that she would be subservient to him into eating of the fruit of the Tree of Good and Evil. So began the Battle of the Sexes and in addition, the seeds of the death of the immediate family were sewn. Once you go back to the ultimate source, the rest of human history as pertains to men and women is rather academic, although quite fascinating. Because paternity couldn’t be determined in ancient times – or even fairly modern times – a person’s relations were determined by the maternal line. Your “family” was your mother’s family. Family memberships were all maternal. All the females in your family line, your grandmother, your aunts – any female significantly older than yourself – was your mother. Those your own age, whether siblings or cousins, were your brothers and sisters. You, in turn, became your sisters’ children’s mothers. “Sister-daughter” or “Sister-son.” That’s the way characters in the book, “The Lord of the Rings” address one another’s relations. But it was the division of the land that ultimately tipped humankind from savages to mere barbarians. By the 4th Century B.C., the denizens of the Mediterranean began to turn towards commerce rather than simple, pastoral agriculture for sustenance. Populations were quickly exceeding their ability to consume all their food, incredibly enough. Larger, aristocratic landholders drover smaller viners and planters out of business. With the accumulation of wealth came a demand for luxuries, and former farmers went into trades: carpentry, metal-working, or out to sea in foreign trade. Men wanted to know to whom their land was being bequeathed. The communal rites of love-making were no longer acceptable. A form of trial-marriage was introduced – a seven year contract, after which time, either party could leave the marriage with no financial penalties. Most importantly, the land no longer belonged to the woman’s family but to the man’s. Women had to remain faithful to the marriage. Men, not so much. With the progress of Judaism, marriage became a life-time contract. Love had nothing to do with it. The families arranged the marriage. Romantic love, they believed, was a piece of nonsense that, if it existed at all, died out within six months. If caught, illicit lovers were frequently stoned and the byproducts put to death. But society usually turned a blind eye to the man’s portion in any affair and children were considered illegitimate – illegal. In other words, they had no legal standing with the father’s estate. Husbands and wives went on fighting. Wives nagged, husbands canoodled. Even Jesus had no answer to the problem. Divorce was wrong, he said. When asked, why then did God give us the right to divorced, Jesus replied, “Because you’ve hardened your hearts.” All over the ancient world, including Jerusalem, poorer farmers were pushed off their lands by the state and their wealthy courtiers and into the city to find a trade or starve. Their problems were countered by the competition from slaves. These slaves, at least according Engels and Morgan, were paid enough to get by. Poorer landholders were forced to pay rent on lands they used to own or borrow money from newly-established institutions called “banks.” This gave rise to the serfs, which eventually gave rise to revolutions all over Europe. Former tribal chieftains became tyrants and the tyrants became monarchs when ancient assemblies began to question their right to rule. Industrialization gave rise to new cities where a surplus population – certainly checked several times in the Middle Ages by the bubonic plague – where the serfs could find work and earn their own money. They worked long hours, six days a week, were poorly paid and lived in tenements. The factory owners and foreman were abusive and used child labor. Disease and starvation were rampant. Those with more intelligence became shopkeepers. From these emerged a middle class with a better standard of living. Even smaller landowners, while not aristocracy, found markets for their wares in the cities and led the same middle-class life. But a problem arose with primogeniture – bequeathing all the property to the eldest son. Younger children were forced to marry into money; easier for the sons than the daughters. The whole purpose of young ladies in European societies was to climb as high up the social ladder as they could (“Pride and Prejudice,” Jane Austen, 1813). Poor and orphaned children were often sold or sent to orphanages. Boys were taught a trade; girls were educated enough to become governesses in wealthy households until they could make a marriage, perhaps to a clergyman or an attorney (considered an ignoble profession in those days – see “Jane Eyre,” Charlotte Bronte, 1846 and “Oliver Twist,” Charles Dickenson, 1838). Or they might find work in a factory or as a seamstress or household servant. Wealth was no guarantee of marital bliss, as poverty absolutely was a guarantee of disharmony. Aristocratic women, predictably, preferred to leave the drudgery of child-rearing and housekeeping to nursemaids, nannies and servants. Novels of that period are filled with stories of these wealthy women and the “freedom” they enjoyed. By the beginning of the 20th Century, Marxism began to spread. Workers agitated for better wages and working conditions, women for more rights, especially the right to vote. Child labor was outlawed in 1938 (thanks in large part to a distant relative of ours who held a high office). It should have been banned much sooner. Free public education began a century earlier (in Massachusetts), and in actuality, education had always been available since the Colonists arrived, with every village having a schoolhouse. Working hours were reduced to eight hours a day and, at first six days a week, and then finally, five. Women finally won the right to vote in 1919. You’d think, ‘Wow! That’s all great. Communism, yay! Capitalism, boo!” Yeah, well, not exactly. What made improvements possible was Capitalism, inventions, entrepreneurship. With the introduction of electricity, in 1879, the American inventor Thomas Edison was finally able to produce a reliable, long-lasting electric light bulb in his laboratory. By the end of the 1880s, small electrical stations based on Edison’s designs were in a number of U.S. cities. Although each station was able to power only a few city blocks in the beginning, by the 20th Centuries, electricity was power factories, homes and offices. Invention followed upon invention. That other great invention, the automobile, came from Germany not American. But with Henry Ford’s factory line process (a process with which the ancient Persians were familiar), average consumers could afford a car. At least up until the Great Depression. Meanwhile, there was also the steam locomotive. The first commercially successful steam locomotive was built in 1812–13 by John Blenkinsop., In 1784, Scottish inventor William Murdoch built a small-scale prototype of a steam road locomotive in Birmingham, England. A full-scale rail steam locomotive was proposed by William Reynolds around 1787. An early working model of a steam rail locomotive was designed and constructed by steamboat pioneer John Fitch in the U.S. in 1794. His steam locomotive used interior bladed wheels guided by rails or tracks. The authenticity and date of this locomotive is disputed by some experts and a workable steam train would have to await the invention of the first workable high-pressure steam engine by Englishman Richard Trevithick in 1799. All of America’s and Europe’s early inventors became wealthy men. They certainly passed the wealth down to their children. Naturally, because they earned it, although many millionaires did have social consciences, born of their religion (Jewish and Christian) and contributed to charity, such as Milton Hershey, of Hershey Chocolate fame. Late 19th and early 20th Century legislators certainly contributed to the rights of women, children, and working men and women. They also did a good deal to harm them by hindering their ability to succeed individually. Capitalism, not Progressivism, was responsible for progress. Marx intention was to return the world to its primitive, communal or tribal condition, with the female line reclaiming its throne and subjugating men. This idea appealed to women who seemed to have been subjugated to men, at least in the cultural stage when arranged marriages were the “norm” and their oldest brothers inherited the family estates. Marx hated the Middle Class, or the bourgoiese – people with social behavior and political views held to be influenced by private-property interest. The word translates from French as “town people.” He believed it was unfair that they, like their aristocratic “betters”, were leaving their property for their children, not society, to inherit. Where Engels goes wrong in “The Origin of the Family,” is that the family – the extended family – owned the property back in those barbaric times. Eventually, they became the aristocratic class, with the father not the mother at the head of the family. Wives, he insisted, had become the chattel of their husbands, no better than whores [forgive the bad language; his word, not ours]. We had a nursery school teacher who said the same thing. I, of course, leapt up from my little chair and told the teacher off, whereupon I was sent to the Punishment Room. Then, Engels goes on to insist, why should you women stay at home and endure the drudgery of child-rearing and housework when you can go out into the world and make your own money? There’s a whole cottage industry created just for the purpose of housework and raising children. It’s what my mother and father warned me about when I was just four years-old, even as I told them what that nursery teacher said. They described the “ideals” of Communist society. “How would you like it,” my mother asked me, “if someone else looked after you all day while I went to work? Someone you don’t even know? [I went to that Nursery School from Hell one morning a week]. You wouldn’t like that, would you?” I shook my head violently. “Well that’s what the Communists want everyone to do. They want all the Mommies to go to work and have us send you to a school where a stranger would look after you, all day, every day.” Heck, I hated that one morning a week more than they would ever know. Strangers looking after pre-school kiddies. A really, really bad idea. Take it from one who knows. Already experienced, I didn’t need much convincing. “And,” Mommy said, “they’d have different Mommies and Daddies sleeping in each other’s beds.” I don’t know who she knew I understood what she was talking but I did. I didn’t think too much of the idea of another Mommy or Daddy coming into our house. In fact, at that notion, I began to cry. “Welll,” my father said. My mother silenced him with a look. Boy, Mom had a look. At that, I began to cry. “No, no. Don’t cry. Daddy isn’t going to live in someone else’s house and neither is Mommy,” I promise. Unfortunately, it was the beginning of the Sixties. By the end of the Sixties everyone at seems, if you consulted the television, was swinging with everyone else. Even in our own neighborhood, if reports could be believed. Marriage was never a blissful state. Even Jesus said that there were some men who just shouldn’t get married and some women from whom it would be better for men to fly away into the desert to escape than to marry. But with Women’s Liberation, marriages really began to fall apart. Mothers began dropping their little tots at local nursery schools at 7 a.m. and picking them up at 7 p.m. We know because our neighbor across the street started an at-home daycare center. Men could no longer just get away with shenanigans because now their wives, in some cases, out-earned them. But it was the era of Free Love and men felt entitled to go out and enjoy themselves. Drugs began entering our neighborhoods alongside the alcohol, the companion of the bored housewife. They entered the junior and senior high schools. Sex, drugs and rock n’ roll were here to stay. People started getting married later and later; the longer it took them to grow up, the longer it took them to marry, until finally we’ve reached the Snowflake Generation, where the children are living in Mom and Dad’s (or whoever’s) basement. The Latchkey Schoolchildren found no one to greet them except the television and the ancient video games of the day. There was no one to discipline or help them. No one to talk to them. “Just lock the door and do your homework and watch TV,” they were told. Mom and Pop, or step-Pop, told them it was all right to party and experiment with drugs. They did it and they turned okay. Sort of. And knock the Middle Class life they were living. National Lampoon’s Animal House’s Bluto told them it was really cool to spit at the conventional, “boring” Middle Class; in other words, themselves. Meanwhile, church attendance plummeted. Most people were too busy or too lazy to dress themselves up for church and be sermonized. Churches even relaxed their dress codes so that parishioners came to worship in shorts and sandals. “God is dead,” according to 19th Century German Philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche in his 1882 book, “The Gay Science.” He was done in by The Enlightenment. The title, “Die Frohliche Wissenschaft” actually translates as “The Joyful Science.” “Is God Dead,” TIME Magazine asked in its April 8, 1966 issue, with the title splashed in red on its cover. The article investigated the movement by 1960s theologians to remove God from their theology.” We see the fruits of Engels’ book, the Marxist movement, and the cultural acceptance of the Sixties Marxist culture in the disintegration of the family. The downward spiral has checked somewhat, as women are becoming aware that they’re not all that happy away from their children (at least not until the Wuhan Flu came in) and their kitchens. The invention of appliances went a long way in removing the drudgery from housework. The washing machine. The dryer. The dishwasher. The vacuum cleaner. Permanent press clothes, which replaced an invention, the iron. The one invention that has been invented is a machine to just the floor. But just wait. I recall we had an invention that polished our kitchen floor. Only then, we began slipping and falling on it. The stay-at-home-Mom was just coming back into vogue, much to the consternation of Feminists everywhere, who don’t like being shown up. Mom and Dad have to start looking back homeward. We know companies make that extremely difficult, especially for Dads, who are then buggywhipped by their wives for neglecting the family. It’s second only to adultery, abuse and alcoholism (the Three As) in breaking up homes. It’s the anger, the fights that ultimately break up a marriage. Not even someone outside the marriage can do that. The couple breaks itself up. In the series, “The Final Hours of” on Reelz, Gene Wilder was talking about his marriage to Gilda Radner (an original “Saturday Night Live” star), who died at the age of 42 from ovarian cancer. She wanted desperately to get married and have children. He was agreeable but he told her he wanted to make sure they were going to be happy together first. “Only a happy couple can produce happy children,” he said. Whoa. Ironically, she was unable to have children, and then the doctors discovered, too late, the ovarian cancer that would take her life. Colleges and universities require all freshmen to take these politically-correct diversity and inclusion courses, or they don’t graduate. If we lived in family-oriented America, all freshmen would have to take “Anger Management” “Budget and Financing 101,” “Child Psychology.” A.B.C. The ancients were right that depending on romantic love is nonsense. Most normal people can’t maintain romance in an intimate, day-to-day privacy-reducing existence. After six months, you’ll be aware of your partner’s every tick, wart, mole, habit, attitude, and insecurity. Once the children come along, that privacy will be almost totally obliterated and personal time will be history. How are you going to deal with all of that? You’d better know before you take that vow and sign on the dotted line, or you’re wasting your time. Nobody tells you those things when you’re in love because they know you’re not listening. You’re going to get angry. You’re going to scream and yell each other. Missus is going to throw pots and pans. Mister is going to go down to the local bar. Mister might come home drunk and Missus will make him sleep on the couch (“in the living room, ‘Whisky Breath!”). Fighting now and then is probably normal. Constant fighting will break a marriage down, not to mention demoralize the kids. Divorce is no solution as far as the kids are concerned. But it’s also none of their business. It’s the couple’s job to keep it together if they can. Some divorces are necessary. Not all marriages are made in Heaven. Some are made in Hell. But most are made right here on good old clay-bound Earth, and if once the romantic blinders fall from your eyes and you realize your mate isn’t perfect, and neither are you, and you can accept them as they are, your marriage has a fair chance of surviving. Real love isn’t stars and fireworks and little cupids flying around. But it’s not unstopping the toilet in the middle of the night or not hydrating enough while you’re trying to make Thanksgiving Dinner for your husband’s family while three children under five are under your feet (tradition says, actually, that is the oldest capable woman who cooks the dinner, not the youngest) and then losing your cool. That’s life. Love is kindness, understanding, and forgiveness in the midst of a Thanksgiving Day Dinner Meltdown. Get your poor wife a glass of cold water, get the kids out of the kitchen, and above all, don’t ask her a stupid question like, “When is dinner going to be ready?” Love is a cordial greeting of your husband after a long commute in a car, bus or train whose air conditioning has quit. Get your poor husband a class of cold water, and then have the kids give him a welcome-home hug. Save a complaint about your own long day for your sister or best friend. Are kindness and forgiveness such difficult concepts to grasp? Why do we insist on making relationships so difficult? The marital relationship is the heart of the nuclear family and that’s what the Marxists have been aiming at, with considerable success. They’ve also succeeded in getting Mother out of the home and into a “fulfilling” career, which leaves the education of young children to Nursery School Teachers from Hell, schoolchildren to Marxist drones, teenagers to their own self-destructive devices, and unemployable college Snowflakes to bedrooms in your basement. What’s more, they’ve reduced Dad, who is the hated Authority figure in Marxist ideology, to a caricature of himself, whom no one respects, particularly his wife. This is not the way to conduct a happy marriage. Wives need to learn to give their husbands more credit and appreciation for being a partner in the marriage and being less needy themselves. Wives must discard this notion, implanted by the Marxists, that the husband is just another kid to look after. How much childish whining do you do when you’re nagging him to cut the grass or do the dishes or do “his” share of the housework? When was the last time you mowed the lawn or washed the car? Yeah, never. And, by the way, let him be the man, yes? The traditional, or conventional or “nuclear” family is what has held America together. The Nuclear Family, incidentally, is not so isolated as Marxist propaganda would have you think. They all still mainly have links to the extended family and depend upon each other. My new sister-in-law looks after her three year-old granddaughter, not a stranger. But too many families allow jobs and careers across the country to separate them, either by time or distance. Arguments and unhappiness do the rest of the job, thanks to “modern” ideas of the family. And that, students, is how you begin to destroy the Nuclear Family and the destruction of civilized society is what happens when you do.
